OMG:laughing:! The backstory to Tim's whip has me rolling!! Liesa, you are hilarious:thumbsup2! I love how you posted pics of what that whip is actually for...I suppose that's one way to tenderize your goat meat?? Did you laugh hysterically when you mailed it off?? I would have!

And Tim, perhaps you should've done some homework on that whip before posting your x-rated picture!:lmao: Good grief boy, it's for polo and horses. No wonder Mel was disturbed!:lmao: I love how she asked you what kind of friend would send you such a gift!:lmao::laughing: It looks like you were in a hurry to open it and show it off, look at the mess on your stairs...bubbles, screwdriver, miscellaneous debris!

Kathy, you're right! If I'm ever having a bad day, I can hop over to your thread and that pic will cheer me right up!:goodvibes

What I wouldn't do for my DIS friends..... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I figured if someone sent me a whip I had to whip something. I'm sure Melody wouldn't appreciate me taking a pic of me whipping her so I had to whip myself!!!

I think I was fixing a bubble machine for Juliana that day. It was the 3rd weekend in March and it was 75 degrees. :thumbsup2

I'm going to try to check in at some point tomorrow. We are leaving at 5 a.m. and driving 4-1/2 hours to go watch Markie coach the high school wrestling team at a huge tournament and have dinner with him for his dad's birthday. Yes, Mark is 58 tomorrow....four years from tomorrow is the goal to be on our way to Florida. I am taking the laptop with me because the hotel has free wi-fi, but if we go to the casino, I might be too tired to get on andn we are leaving early Sunday morning to get home for the Bears game.

Please tell Mark that we wish him the happiest of birthdays!!!!!!!! Safe travels!!! :goodvibes

Happy Birthday, Mark!

Hope the two of you have a wonderful day watching your son coaching his team!

You get more than 30-40 feet a year??? :scared1:
Tell Mark we have a lot in common! Our names both start with "Mar," he's Grumpy while I'm Dopey, and we both love Kathy the Disney loving lunatic!!! :lmao:

Mark said you missed the "Beautiful" Disney loving lunatic. ;)

:rotfl: love the title!

I'm here! I still gotta read.

:yay::yay::yay::yay: Brook is herre.

Kathy, I hope you and Mark have a safe trip! Have fun visiting with your son!!!

OH! and TELL MR. MARK WE WISH HIM A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!:dumbo:
:bday:

Thank you; we arrived safely after a very long ride and am now watching the boys wrestle.

All caught up now, and laughing out loud - as usual!!!

Wow! That is fantastic! Serious pixie dust!

And Boma breakfast. Droooooooool. So, so delicious. I am tempted every single trip to book that one.

AKL has tons of happenings around the resort. Near Boma there is a glass case with the daily events and the times. I know there is a culinary tour (free) in Jiko. At night they have a CM with night vision goggles out on the rock so you can view the animals too.

:rotfl: Kathy I love that you just threw this out there!!!!!!

Oh-my-word! You people are making me cry from laughing so hard!

Enjoy the time with your son! I really like your four-year-plan.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK!!!!!!

We were so mad at Todd for messing up our plans; but Nicki has been really sick and Todd is taking really good care of her so I have forgiven him...for now.

Thanks, Brook. I remember seeing that board when we went to Boma...I'lll be sure to check it out.

Hey, I love tim and I want everyone to know what a goof he is.

Mark says thank you.

AKL is so beautiful!
A day just exploring the resort sounds perfect. :cloud9:

Thanks; I love having "relaxing time".

Kathy, you're right! If I'm ever having a bad day, I can hop over to your thread and that pic will cheer me right up!:goodvibes

See, you came to the right place.

What I wouldn't do for my DIS friends..... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

That's why we love you Tim.

Please tell Mark that we wish him the happiest of birthdays!!!!!!!! Safe travels!!! :goodvibes

Thanks to all of the Beloins! Kisses to Ana (hope her cough is gone).

Happy Birthday, Mark!

Thank you, Karin and Tom.
Hope the two of you have a wonderful day watching your son coaching his team!

Oh it's a whip! I won it from Liesa (All7OfUs) for winning a contest on her PTR. She lived in Kazakhstan you know! That whip was used by riders on horses who played polo with goats heads... or something like that right Liesa? :scared1:

Ok, after reading this and the story explaining it, I seriously was laughing so hard I had tears! :lmao: That was awesome, thanks for the laugh!

On another note, Happy Birthday Mark!

I really should have sent one to every DISFriend I have , and had a contest on who could do the best whip pic. We could have gone with a caption contest, and everything. Someone could have taken it to Aloha Isle and done a "dole whip" picture. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hmmn, ok. that sounds like a challenge. I've been known to chase kids around the house with mine but...nary a picture so far.

and, Happy Birthday Mark!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kathy!

I could never get caught up on your TR but I can handle a few pages longs PTR!

The whip picture never gets old does it? Cracks me up every time!

We stayed at AKL and loved it! There are lots of different viewing areas to see the animals. They do have a storyteller outside around the fire. They have a lot of kids activities there as well. They used to post a list in the lobby of the activities for the day.

Not going to see me with a whip. ;)

Mark says thank you.

Happy Birthday to Mark :bday:

Thanks, Stefy. It was a good birthday...saw our son and had a nice dinner with him and his friends.

Hi, Jen. Thank you for joining.

That whip picture is my "lift me up" when I need one.

Thanks for the advice on the AKL. We don't have little ones anymore and the trip will just be Mark and I, but you (and everyone else) is giving us great ideeas.

Sorry. I thought that went without saying!!! ;)

So how did the wrestling go???

You are forgiven. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Wrestling was great! Although I forgot how brutal it is to sit in bleachers all dayt (and this was after a 4-1/2 hour drive to get there).

I just finished downloading pictures and will be posting some shortly.

Mark had a great birthday; thanks to all once again for all the birthday wishes.

After 15 years on the wrestling mat as a wrestler, our youngest son is now a Coach. He was hired by the high school in the town where he attends college as the assistant coach. They are so happy and impressed with him, that they have already asked him to come back next year and he has also taken on the head coaching responsibilities at the youth club (the feeder program to the high school).

We spent Mark's birthday driving 4-1/2 hours to watch Mark's team and to watch him coach and then had a great dinner with him and the rest of the coaches as well as a couple of the parents who absolutely think Mark is the best thing to come to their school in a while. And the kids LOVE him (and, as my husband says, that is probably because he is on the same level as them--goofy).

Here are a few photos of Markie in action:

We changed from a white shirt to a blue shirt after seven hours of wrestling and still two to go:

They had four champions, a third place and two fifth place. Two of the four champions are around the weight Markie has wrestled the last five years and he has been working one on one with them a lot. We are VERY proud of him.

Great pics Kathy!! It sure looks like Mark was very into his role as coach. You can tell he loves what he's doing! Of course you're proud, it looks like he did a great job!:thumbsup2 My youngest brother wrestled all through high school and is still doing some recreational (I guess that's what you call it if it's not professional?:confused3) wrestling. I used to hold my breath everytime he'd get slammed to the floor:eek:! Talk about nerve wracking.

What good parents you are to drive 4 1/2 hours to watch a 7 hour wrestling match too. Glad to hear dinner was good for Mark's b-day. It must've been so nice to be able to be together for his b-day.:goodvibes

I thought of a new use for that inappropriate pic of Tim and his whip...a screen saver! Not for me because, well DH would think that quite strange, but for you Kathy!:thumbsup2

And you're right, I did come to the right place for fun!:thumbsup2

Love the pictures from your weekend. Glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations to Mark and Happy Birthday to Mark! :goodvibes

Ah, congrats to Markie. He seems like a fun guy :) Glad you guys had a fun visit.

Trip news, we have decided to stay at AKV Kidani. Will probably have dinner at Sanaa on the 24th and then swim.. Girls and I really liked it in Dec. What are your Sun plans??

Were u thinking of MNSSHP on tues night??

I feel like we have talked about this-maybe my report. Dang my memory is bad

Congrats! to Markie for doing such a great job!! Glad to hear you guys had a great visit.

not on the same level; but, Dayne has decided to coach basketball this year (for the local rec team) he is not too old, but because he is not in high school any longer he can not play. (he wanted me to write a letter to the rec and parish contesting their rules--he said it is not right that he did what he is suppose to do and the kids that failed in school and still in high school get to continue until they are 19, he said he IS IN school and should get to play--in a way I think he is right). But, he is coaching 13/14 yr olds and having fun...but wishing he was on the court ;).

Have a great week!

Congrats to Markie, looks like he is doing a fantastic job with the team :goodvibes
