I have tried to copy and paste 3x times now to no avail. I think we will probably eat around 630 or so. Have not booked the flight yet so not sure when we get in. I had heard that I get a free ticket to MNSSHP since I am doing the 5k but not sure. I will let you know. it would be fun to do together.

I am here!

Being originally from NYC, I understand what a coolie is! It's Italian slang for butt ;)

A nice word for harass... minus the har ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks for clearing that up. ;)

Thanks for asking Kathy because I had no idea either! And I wasn't sure if I wanted to know...:rolleyes1

I wasn't going to ask him here....I was going to send him a PM. But I was hoping there was someone else who didn't know what it meant either.

My middle son is in Dubuque today with his Youth group at Sundown Mountain. Thanks to mapquest I see that Dubuque is almost 2 1/2 hours away from here. I also see that you are only about 3 hours and 15 minutes from here - closer than I thought. I always think of the Chicago area as being about 4 hours away. We are usually on a bus trip, or going with friends, so don't go directly from home - that is probably what is adding the extra time. My boys played basketball and football in jr High. They switched to golf in High School - and dabbled slightly in baseball. Well, they all played little league when they were kids, but in high school I think Sean maybe played part of one year (only the second time we ever let him quit a sport - he got overly punished by the coach for missing a practice because he was selected to perform in an Honor Choir that week-end after various other instances of "crummy" treatment that was the final straw and we told Sean he could quit). Mark's talking about playing this year - he played his Freshman year, but not the last two years.....we'll see.....(different coaches there now too)

We've been fortunate that our kids have had great coaches in all their sports. The only time our oldest quit was when he tried out for football and didn't like it (but he quit before the season started) and then he quit baseball in college...too time consuming for his school workload and his job.

Well, thanks to your p.m. I realized that you had started your pre-trip report. Now, I gotta go back and read. I can be such a ditz sometimes.

Lisa, I'm just glad you are here. And don't worry...I'm a ditz a LOT of times.

As long as you don't mind, we will do the Party the same night with you guys. And we can meet you at the pool after dinner on that Sunday; I've already marked both down in my planning book. :)

:welcome::welcome: Thank you for stopping in and I hope you'll stick around if you are so inclined. And thanks for the explanation for "coolie." :)

:laughing:Yup, I was clueless too! It sounds British though, doesn't it, "coolie"? For some reason it does to me!

Cool wrestling pics! You know I love sports pics! Congrats to the new assistant coach! That's really awesome!

Tim, you do WAY too many prom gigs. Or is that just slang from around your hood?

I'm so confused. We are at the AKL on Friday night and Saturday night (September 23 and 24); we move to the Coronado on the 25th (Sunday a.m.). Does this mean no swimming?

4 champions?! Sounds like your son is an excellent coach! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't say excellent; but two of the wrestlers he has been working one on one with that are close to his weight and it has helped those kids a lot to have a former college wrestler work one on one with them. I think he can be an excellent coach as he gets more experience.

Hi Kathy! Your trip looks great so far. AKL is so beautiful. I stayed there seven years ago and it was fabulous. I went for a walk one night by myself and found the fire pits and the night vision goggles. It was so cool I went back and got everyone else to come check it out too.

As I read all the amusing comments by your loose friends, a million things went through my mind, and now that I'm actually commenting I don't even know where to start. :rotfl:

Is it too late to join in the fun?

I recognize a few names on here from around the board and figured I read a bit and you guys have me laughing so hard! Love it!

We are going to be at WDW the week before you are there. We leave the day you arrive (unless my lovely DH decides to do his usual "add a couple days to the trip at the last minute" thing).

Can't wait to read where this goes!

No silly, we will swim at AKV on SAT SEP 24th!!!!! Will you guys come over to Kidani??

Love the wrestling pics, really takes me back. It was a hugely popular sport when I was in high school. I have many great memories of state tournaments (and the hotel parties that went along with:rolleyes1)

Must be, I've never heard of it!

Although, I'm sure there are a lot of things I've never heard of. Never heard of chonies till Jordan!

Just checking in !!I see the Boys are misbehaving as usual !!Marv has been Brutal to me on Glenns thread !! Can you believe anyone would pick on sweet innocent me !!:confused3:lmao::lmao:

Welcome and thank you for joining. We are an interesting group...that's for sure. ;)

MissLiz, welcome. And it is NEVER too late and I'm thrilled you decided to join. I know I've seen you on several of the TR's I follow or lurk on as well.

Perhaps your DH will add a day or two and then we could meet (and you could meet Mary and her adorable girls as well).

No silly, we will swim at AKV on SAT SEP 24th!!!!! Will you guys come over to Kidani??

Hey, it's tough getting "old." Okay...Saturday night swimming at AK with the little angels (we'll go wherever you tell us) and Tuesday night at the Halloween Party. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

It is our high school's biggest sport because they have had so much success over the years (and none of our other teams with the exception of football every ten years or so has any success).

Hi, Rosie. Glad you stopped by to say hi. Marv has been unusually quiet. :confused3:confused3

Even though we still have plenty of time before we make our ADR's, I like to have a good idea of what I am going to book. I am really struggling with it this time as we want to try new places, but also go back to some old places.

The first two days of our stay we will not be on the dining plan and will pay out of pocket. These are our plans for our first two nights:

Friday, September 23 -- we will eat at Emeril's at CityWalk by Universal
Saturday, September 24 -- we will have breakfast at Boma and a late lunch at Earl of Sandwich (Earl is a new place for us)

That leaves us Sunday - Wednesday for the dining plan giving us four table service places.

We HAVE to do Crystal Palace for breakfast (I MUST have my Puffed French Toast)

We always do The Plaza as our last meal of our trip, but I'm not sure we'll be at the MK on our last day (I've not made our plans for what parks what days as of yet). We would pay out of pocket for Plaza

So, that leaves us 3 table service meals

We want to try Kona for breakfast, Via Napoli, Captain's Grill, Ohana (for dinner...don't like Stitch so we won't do breakfast), possibly Tusker House for the Nemo seating and Wolfgang Puck Express. We'd also like to go back to either Mama Melrose or 50's Prime Time and possibly LeCellier.

Please let me know which one(s) you prefer and why. Thanks. :goodvibes
