I feel like I should know this, but I just want to be sure I'm remembering this right, as we don't go every year: We have an 8:40 a.m. ADR at CM on our Epcot day. Staying at SSR. Would our best transportation mode sans car be Bus from SSR to MK, (8 am EMH that day) then Resort Monorail to CR, then Monorail to Epcot? TIA!

I would just walk to CR from MK. Getting to Epcot actually involves 2 monorails - from CR to the TTC, then from the TTC to Epcot.

I would take the first bus in the morning. I had 8 am ressies at CM and was at POR, by the time we took the first bus, that was late and then walked from mk to CM we were late. So if the first bus is at 7:30 I would go that way. Then yes take monorail to ttc and transfer to Epcot monorail. I would not take the monorail to cr because by the time you walk over to it and it will be busy that time of morning at least with people getting off, and then make the circuit around with lots of people getting on it will take a lot more time, so just walk from bus to CM.

Agree. The bus stop is on the Contemporary side of the MK entrance. The monorail stop is the other side of the MK entrance. By the time you walked to the monorail, you'd be half way to the Contemporary if you just walked directly.

Just to reduce the worry about the bus schedule, it might be interesting to find out what a cab would cost to the Contemporary.

Buses start running by 6:30am each day. The buses will be more regular than usual since MK has EMHs that day...the buses will be running about every 15 mins (or less) by 7:15ish. So, for an ADR at 8:40? I would be at the MK bus by 7:30ish. That will get you to MK by 8:10 at least!! Then, walk over to the CR from MK...takes under 10 mins. Very easy to find..just follow beneath the overhead monorail line.
When heading to Epcot, just hop on the monorail at the CR and get off at the TTC and switch to the Epcot line.

Nice to see someone from Warren!!! Were just there this weekend. Dd goes to school in Bristol!!!

Okay, thanks! The main reason I booked CM is because I thought the grandkids would enjoy riding the monorail into the CR. I can see we might be a little pushed for time if we do, so maybe we'll just have to take the monorail OUT. :goodvibes We have a party of 10, and need car seats, so I guess the taxi idea wouldn't work for us.

Oh, okay...didn't realize that you wanted to ride 'into' the CR....you're right, it is fun to do!!! In that case, just walk over to the monorail platform...it is in the opposite direction but you're not in a big rush. As long as you get to the platform by about 8:15, you're good. Be sure to get on the Resort Line, NOT the Express Line!!
Have a great time!!

Great! We'll just make sure we leave early enough to get to the platform on time. With strollers and everything, it is probably just as fast anyway. Thank you!
