This has probably already been discussed somewhere, but does anyone know what areas will be refurbed first?
Somone had reported on the SSR lovers thread that they were told the work would start in Congress Park. But they also were told it would start in April and that doesn't seem to have happened.
Congress Park seems logical, since Congress Park were the first 4 buildings built.
We are considering a 1 bedroom June 2020 to go with my parents. Any chance the resort will be fully refurbished by then? Thanks.
No chance it will be fully done, 3-4 year project also looks like they may revamp main building. We are considering a 1 bedroom June 2020 to go with my parents. Any chance the resort will be fully refurbished by then? Thanks.

2 years should be more than enough. Probably a year longer than they should take to get it done.
Skilled trades are still in high demand in Central FL with all of the construction projects occurring. Faster timelines means more workers which drives up the cost exponentially. Closing more buildings at a time negatively impacts DVC availability.
Congress park and starts in 16 days, a regular guest, multiple long stays a year, from another board has this confirmed.
It’s a huge project- at least 3 years I would guess so I wouldn’t count on any area being completed next Feb to be honest. Thanks for the update! Have preferred booked for next Feb. Planning to request Congress Park ... hoping Springs is done by then too so we can definitely get a refurbished one. Fingers crossed.
Intel is 3-4 years in total, but we don’t know if that’s accurate. Agree they may put Boulder Ridge back. 3-4 years may also include main building which could be done last.I think they'll be moving it along a little faster than that. VWL - aka BRV is scheduled for it's refurb in 2021. I don't believe they've ever had 2 onsite resorts under refurbishment at the same time. 2 years should be more than enough. Probably a year longer than they should take to get it done.

Does seem like a long time, suspect they are aiming for 3 years with a longer period for wiggle room. And it may be the 3 years includes 6 months in the main building which they may do at the end. Remember though it’s twice the size of OKW and that is going to be going on for almost 2 years. They cannot take too many rooms out of service at once, and it’s a huge project. So I've forgotten exactly what they've promised with refurbs but isn't it 7 years for soft goods and 14 for hard goods? How can they even think of taking 4 whole years? It'll almost be time to start a soft goods refurb on Congress Park! That's just plain poor management IMO.
