Does anyone have photos of the newer main path going from SSR to DTD? I'm staying at SSR in 3 weeks and I'd like to see some photos of the path before we leave.

Also, is the path lit and how long does it take to walk between? Has anyone walked to DTD just to take the buses running from there to other places (resorts & parks)? Would it be quicker at time to just catch a bus from DTD rather than wait for a bus to arrive at SSR?

Sorry, no pictures...though I'm sure someone here must have some.

We found the bus service to be *excellent* at SSR. I'm sure we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to be picked up in June...and many times it was only 1-2 minutes. I was amazed at how many buses rolled through there.

No way would I have walked over the DTD just to find a bus...especially in that 100 degree heat!

the buses at DD don't go to the parks - only to the other resorts - so if you to eat at say BC - then yes go walk to DD and get on the Epcot resort bus.

but the service to parks is only through the resorts.

Sorry, no pictures either, but yes, the walk way is lit at night. We walked with my daughter, who walks very slow, and it took maybe 10- 12 minutes to get from the Marketplace Archway (by where the buses drop off for DTD) to our building, which was the farthest one east (the last one to be opened, #4). The path follows around the lake.

And like kweaver said, you can catch a bus at SSR to go where you want to go, unless your destination is another resort, then you could walk to DTD. The bus service is very dependable at SSR. Our wait times were short our entire trip. Hope this helps.:wave2:

spiceycat - good point

Disneylovers - we Napervillians (former Napervillian here) tend to know what we're talking about! ;) I just met a family...new to our neighborhood...from Naperville as well. It is such a small world!

We walked along the walkway late at night and did not feel the least bit "unsafe." The buses at SSR were convenient and timely, but again if you're going to dinner at another hotel, it's easier to catch the bus at DTD instead of TTC.
