We were in a standard studio. The front desk said all of the rooms were getting them. They work great.

Cash reservation can make requests too. Just call Disney reservations and tell them
You want to make a room preference request and they will help you. Not guaranteed.

We are here now and yesterday while we were at Epcot they switched out the coffee maker with one of those Keurig combo makers. It takes up more room of the limited studio counter space but it does fit under the cabinet. If you are like us and bring your own filters you'll need the flat bottom ones.

It seems like they are going resort-to-resort and switching out to this style of coffee maker everywhere. If when you check in they haven't upgraded your room yet, you can call housekeeping and have one sent over.

The Keurig combo has both a 12 cup drip pot as well as the cup dispenser. It can do either.

When you book SSR cash, regular and preferred are two different categories and rates just like when booking with DVC points. I just booked a regular SSR this summer for one night and had the option to pay a little more for preferred if I had wanted too.

Thanks for this information. We have friends joining us and they booked cash so I was trying to figure out if they could request Congress Park like we do. Looks like they booked preferred so should be able to request Congress Park.

We left on Monday, and it is the dual machine--pot on one side and Keurig on the other. Flat bottom 8-12 cup filters and your own coffee. Hit strong and it is easy peasy.

We have our first DVC stay coming up at SSR in a one bedroom. I saw that the check in time is 4, not 3 like the regular resorts. I've always been lucky and have been able to check in and get a room early in the day. Does that happen at SSR or just DVC resorts in general too, or is it likely we'll be assigned a room later in the day? Thanks!

Weve stayed at SSR a lot and have always been in the room long before 4...but obviously that's never a guarantee...
