It goes with out saying..... Do not ' advertise ' from USA. when traveling over sea this year.

Good news: Viking resumes Egypt cruises earlier than planned. After canceling all of the March itineraries, they announced last week that cruises will resume starting March 12th.

Bad news: the Egyptian pound has fallen low and tourism is expected to decline. This may sound strange, but I believe one of the reasons we had a good time this past visit was the very high number of tourists. We were never surrounded, followed, or extorted by anyone. There were so many visitors that the vendors/scammers were overpowered.

Please don't let my negativity discourage anyone from visiting Egypt. The allure still surpasses the misery, even for me.

I want to check on how everyone is doing with your Egypt plans.

We have decided not to visit Egypt as a side trip from our England vacation. Instead, we are planning to spend a longer time in Egypt and skip England altogether. Given the current situation, we aren't sure when we'll be able to return to the region.

Not the same but we have delayed our New Zealand trip (luckily we bought refundable flights) as flights from the UK to NZ have a stopover in the Middle East. We were meant to be there next week.
