Chapter 36. Attacked by a white rhino.
I was getting pestered to do an update, so here we go.
and also since marv said i need a game on here, i am going for the spelling-do game.
you find a total of my spelling mistakes and post your total. i have purposely spelled some things wrong.

and picked out some big words to challenge myself and see what we come up with. before i even type any further i am going to guess at least 20 mistakes will be found.
happy hunting.
we left you with dinner looming in the air, and our stomachs were hungry.
so it was on to the yak and yeti, which was a first for us. i have passed it many times, but did not even realize it was a restraunt in the past.
our destination was nice and since the air was just conditioned according to the sign it was a welcome haven from the heat.
we ordered, and we knew that parker loved chicken so candi and i got chicken dishes, well he tried a bite and spit it out and did want anything to do with it.
well we had already waited a good time to get our drinks and food so i knew it would take that much longer go get our waitress and a burger for him, so i remembered seeing a burger shop right next door so out i went.
i came back with a kids burger meal for him.
the manager tried to stop me on the way in and said umm sir, you can not bring other food into our restraunt. i said well we have our food, my son is hungry i am not waiting 10 minutes for a burger to be made in the back i got this one next door in under 1 minute.
she shows me her displeasure by her stance and face and i say there he is gotta go. and as i was walking past she said okay fine you can bring it in.
parker was thankful for his burger he kept giving candi hugs during dinner for it.
even though i was the one who got it for him.
all of us loved our meals, including parker and his burger and desert was great as well.
candis desert.

Lesson Learned: dont think that even though a 2 year old likes chicken, he might not like chicken of the orient.
with bellys full it was time to head out to use our fast passes for the safari.
everything was going great, animals were enjoying the slightly cooler evening and were roaming about in the savanna...eating there dinner. we get around to the white rhino area.
well our driver started to take it slow as this little guy was very close to the edge of the road. and he did not want to spook it.
well all of a sudden we are next to the family and the baby does a quick little run, past the parents, and the guide is watching out the side of the car, to make sure he does not turn toward us when the very large rhino came charging out of a bush at our vehicle...i dont know if our driver stopped on his own, or if there is an override system in the truck that sensed we were very close to an object (which was a giant rhino) but our truck slammed on its breaks to avoid hitting the rhino.
yep that little fellow.
2 bonus points if anyone is the first to correctly guess this movie line.
"sure does get hot in these here rhinooooos"
we had no other close encounters of the animal kind on the rest of the ride.
and on our way out we stopped to get a picture at the only location that you can get a picture of both the tree of life and everest in one. that little tid bit we learned from a photopass guy on our previous trip.
candi found my photopass CD so i have a few to share now. parker enjoyed his day.
and of course he loved holding simba even though he did not know he was the time.
i had one mission before the day was over, and i forgot one of my lessons learned from earlier in the trip...which was when you see something you like buy it, it is not a guarantee that you will come across it again.
i was looking for the hot wheel type cars, that come in 5 packs that are the different ride vehicles for the disney parks. well i was having no luck finding them in the stores, while everyone else was walking the main path i was looking in and out of each store we passed in AK trying to find them. well. my dad finally found them for me in the shop just before pizzafari. and he would not give them to me to buy, he took them up to the counter himself to buy since parker was such a good boy all day in the heat.
my dad kept them without him seeing them and planned to give them to him back at the camper.
waiting for the bus to come, he just plopped down and took a rest.
when we got back after bath time, papa told parker he had something for him
he was so excited and could not wait for us to tear open the package and play with them.
my dad did end up stepping on the train car from the wildest ride in the wilderness...and one of the support pieces cracked in half, but i was able to super glue it when we got home.
we let him play with them for a little before bed, which he loved, and he ended up falling asleep before we even got our things ready to take our showers.
candi had another encounter with her little frog friend inthe shower again, this time it was one that was the size of a quarter that was jumping at her when she was trying to leave the building after she was done.
i want to say we were night owls and took in the disney after dark crowd or even went to the pool, but i guess we were not that cool this night and we were zonked out at about 9:00 i think the heat and the length of the trip so far was catching up to us.
but it is nothing a water park day coming up next could not fix.
