OH MY.... I am sooooo excited I can hardly type!!! Just got home from work and there was a voice mail message from DCL.... we were upgraded from our Cat 4 room 8038 to a Cat 3 room 8548 for our May 1 Magic cruise!!!!

First thing I did was call DCL and make sure it wasn't a mistake, lol (while on hold I was dancing around the kitchen with dd3 and ds6 screaming WE GOT UPGRADED... they have no clue what that means, but were happily dancing with me, lol)

Second thing I did was call dh to tell him.... I was so excited I could hardly talk, and he thought I was crying and wanted to know WHAT IS WRONG????? lol

Third thing I did was log on here to share this news with people who can really appreciate it and share my excitement. This is the first cruise for my darling children and also first cruise for my mother who is traveling with us, and this is going to make it EVEN MORE MAGICAL for them!!!!! Bless you DCL!!!

Okay, I am going to go try and breath now!!

Not that you would CARE...but did you ask what the reason for the upgrade was?
LOL, Maybe it should be a "Don't ask" sort of thing!

Tink, I didn't even THINK to ask why, but did want to make sure it wasn't a mistake!! Mainly because the nice upgrade fairy, uh, I mean DCL rep, that left the message said, among other things, that we were all set for our "MAY 3" cruise.... uh, oh, we are leaving May 1... so I thought it was a big mistake and the lucky upgrade actually belonged to someone else. I called right away, gave her my res number and nice lady number two confirmed that we were upgraded for the MAY 1 cruise, said lady number one must have just mis spoke. Then she confirmed that even though we didn't pay for conceirge level services, we would still have all those services available. So now I have to go do more research and find out just exactly what all the perks are to a conceirge level room!! Anyone want to clue me in as to some of the things that will be available to us??

How exciting for you!!! I know that when I found out that we had been upgraded from an 11 to an 8 when making the final payment for our cruise last year I was so excited that I was in tears right there in the middle of the office. LOL!

Linda--YOU KNOW with your concierge service you are NOW REQUIRED to make Palo brunch ressies for all of us sailing with you right?? You are also REQUIRED to let all of us tour your stateroom at sometime! I'm just glad that you are in the middle so between our upgrade and boatingman's we can stop in at your place for a little liquid refreshment!
