If I was a data scientist at runDisney I would so have a side project showing a nice visual of the "stalker runners" out there hitting the website and refreshing all day long I'm not...therefore I am one of those hitting refresh...refresh...refresh.

I can't believe we know nothing yet! I just confirmed with my family that I'll do SS as a solo race weekend - the fam is already coming with me for Nov and Feb races. I'm doing Jan solo. April will complete my goal of doing all 4 race weekends in one season.... now if I just knew what race I was doing!

Race day 1, you have to run in place on the monorail for 10 loops

Race day 2, they tie balloons to the middle of the monorail and that’s the new balloon ladies while you run underneath it

Race day 3, you run on the track in front of it. If you get run over you get a special medal

This is probably just a post to tie us over till the theme announcement (probably tomorrow) but…. Maybe it could be the theme!! Like 1 race is the monorail, another is the skylines, another is the boats etc etc.

What do y’all WANT the themes to be vs. what do you THINK they’ll be?

Soooo…. I just scrolled through some past runDisney twitter posts, and I guess they occasionally have Monorail Mondays…. So probably nothing, just hopeful for an announcement soon!

I informed my husband last night that the themes for SS are probably being announced today “and I need them to suck.”

Him: why? Because you’re tired of spending money?

Me: because I’m tired of virtuals.

In reality I need them to not be like…Brave, Up!, and Toy Story because I would legit probably spend all of my summer job money on a solo weekend trip

There is a part of me that is hoping that there will be a Guardians of the Galaxy half marathon through Epcot and there's definitely a part of me that is hoping that it will be Disney afternoon TV so I'm not tempted to sign up.

Oh no. I just made the mistake of going on to google flights and found Thursday-Sunday round trip flights out of Lansing (non-stop both ways) for $138. With enough time to go shower after the Sunday race. I've never even heard of the carrier (Avelo??) but since everything else is at least $380, and more like $430+ it's not a terrible option. Except that it lands at almost midnight.

Maybe things with “surprise” in their titles just aren’t for me. I’m dying over here. I have flights that need to be booked and DVC points to use for this race weekend but they sure aren’t throwing us a bone here! Surprise “Disney planning” is…an oxymoron?

I know I'm weirdo, and definitely in the minority (I think it's just me and my husband), but I would love if they just announced distances and not themes. We don't find out themes until merch release. I would be fine if we didn't know the theme until the expo.

I'll just see myself out...

I’d like to know themes at medal release as it gives costume planning time…

Well, that would definitely cut down on any registration day stress because I don't think many people would be interested in signing up in this case. I know that I wouldn't be.

I would be good with that. Reality is, I'm signing up regardless of theme. Or distance for that matter. But it would be nice to at least know the prices of the events.

I would love a Haunted Mansion theme...or any theme for that matter as long as it's announced in the next few minutes.
