D-tech I think was just the race logos vs the mileage magnet with the ears

yeah, that's no good. I did enjoy getting a phone case at DTech with the race on it. Didn't look at the magnets.

I'm hopeful that some of the merch issues over the past year have been supply chain related as opposed to the resellers just buying them all up. My wallet is thankful that there was little worth buying for MW but I would like a few things for W&D.

From my expo experience this last race season:
—W&D arrived just after 10am Thursday about a 35 min wait for merch pre-ordered logo pin/medal replica pin/magnet bundle & purchased out of pocket spirit jersey & AP tervis water bottle
—Marathon arrived just after noon opening Friday pre ordered the two pin & magnet bundle… it was so picked over they were selling the display signs for $50 but still got the AP tervis water bottle with my pre orders
—Princess didn’t run
—Springtime Surprise arrived around 1030am Thursday the line to get into merchandise was an estimated 2-2.5 hours by the time I got in I noted things like spirit jerseys were well stocked but in regards to Everest merchandise which was the race I was running they just had finishers shirts & I did it pins… I grabbed a pin and when I doubled back to look at the shirts a CM restocked about a dozen mileage magnets do I was in the right place (ended up with 5K I did it pin/mileage magnet & weekend AP logo pin)


Also FWIW at least with Wine & Dine some weekend specific items like shoe ornaments were ONLY mailed to those who preordered than dumped at cast connection… I know ears for springtime surprise were dropped exclusively at character warehouse in May or june

Very excited to see pre-purchase back! But uh oh. Now Loungefly backpacks for the weekends are going to be a thing?! I'm in trouble.

I'm hopeful to get registered for the Challenege for my wife and I next week, but I wish they had some T-shirts for pre-order. We'll be on a tight schedule for the trip, so we wouldn't be flying in until afternoon on Expo day. That probably means there won't be much available.

We will see where I am next week but leaning towards either the limited edition 4 pin bundle just to guarantee a pin which each IP featured or getting just the 5K pack (keeping logo & medal for self and gifting the I did it one to my friend running) than hope I can snag just one 10k/10m/challenge pin (any style) and my 4 magnets at expo with my AP discount

Here for the magnets first and foremost priority and nearly missed out on the Everest one last year

Like I said May just pre order the challenge and/or 5K pin set (since friend is only doing 5K) and go from there

A previous poster showed they had them up during club RunDisney registration for all we know it could just be a perk for them we shall see

As for MW races between last year’s springtime & this years princess do not have merch preorders

Pre-orders typically only show up during registration, so unless you registered through Club RunDisney early registration there won't be anything to see. There were no pre-orders available during Marathon Weekend registration.

I bought the 5K and Challenge magnets from DTech towards the end of my trip after not being able to get them at the expo. I wasn’t thrilled with them but I have a magnet for each runDisney race I’ve done so I bought them. They were more expensive too ($14.99 compared to $9.99).

Anybody else get an email from runDisney today about the races? The email made it sound like they are theming more than just Pixar, but like a "celebrate your buddies" type theme which is a bit more cohesive and fun!

I was just thinking today though, that if I register my husband and I for the challenge, my $1000 Disney gift card will just cover the both of us. If I add merchandise, then I'll be over the $1000 and can't use my card. Don't they only allow one form of payment? And isn't there a $1000 limit on the Disney gift cards?

Yes, there's a $1000 limit on the giftcards.

You can probably go back in and pre-order the merch as a separate transaction if you're set on using your gift card for this specific purchase.

In the past, you were able to go back and add on the merchandise later. Assuming that's true, that's what I would recommend. Get your registration done as fast as possible. I plan on doing the same. Register and then worry about merchandise.
