Springtime Surprise Weekend 2025 (April 3-6)

I’m planning on Springtime!
I’m in the same boat - did all the Star Wars Dark Side/Rival races and now Springtime. I’m hoping they do something at year 5, but I know the rumor is they’re not going to. We’ll see!

SS falls at the end of my kids spring break in 2025. Depending on the themes, we might do this weekend. Otherwise spring break will be LA/Disneyland for the first time. I'm hoping for Star Wars theme or Disney Afternoon!

Once again, I will not be upset if RD takes my idea of a "Space" theme, with a Space Mountain 5k (ideally in MK but probably not), Guardians 10k, and Galaxy's Edge 10 Miler.

If they insist on sticking with Epcot, it could be Spaceship Earth themed for the 5K. Not the most spacey thing, but it’s close enough. Everyone could pick different eras for costumes!

For those booking resorts that maybe don’t follow things closely, just a note/reminder that Stormalong Bay at YC/BC/BCV will be closed for maintenance January through June 2025. Last week they also just put a notice up about YC room renovations Jan through May 2025. So, heads up if planning to book there.

Registration is on 8/27 for general registration and 8/20 for Club Run Disney.

I swore during the 10 miler I was never doing this weekend again because of the heat… I also have a room booked! Assuming I can get registered and don’t hate the themes, I’m in for next year

Last year they were announced on August 10.

I'm seriously eyeing doing this weekend again in 2025. I really enjoyed it this year, even if the 10-miler was super hot and humid. I do so many half marathons (mainly for runDisney weekends) that it was actually really refreshing to have a 10-mile race. I had never done a 10-mile race before SS in April. Anxious for the themes myself!

August 6, they’ve been pretty consistent this season about releasing themes 2 weeks before CrD registration.
