Just a word on race photo stops and PhotoPass: I've now stopped for the new, physically distanced pics during W&D and Dopey - so 6 races - and 100% of the PhotoPass ones taken while it was still dark are terrible. The photo stops are not lit properly for physical distancing: the camera flash illuminates the runner/s, but not the characters behind them.a Friends who handed their phones to CMs to snap extra pics came away with MUCH better photos from those dark stops. I came away saying I won't bother stopping for photos in the dark again.

I will agree with that, but I found I was able to tweak the PhotoPass shots to be better balanced (not perfect, but better) once I downloaded them to my phone. But it was nice to do both so I had a backup picture.

Agreed …. I wish we handed our camera to CMs during W&D cause the ones on my phone during MW were much better

I’m hoping “soon”for meets being back means no roping off during SS especially as Everest is completely at night

I’m hoping “soon”for meets being back means no roping off during SS especially as Everest is completely at night

I'm jealous. I handed my phone to the CMs as well and the PhotoPass pictures were demonstrably better than with my iPhone XR. Moreover, I found that I was looking at my phone instead of the camera for some of the pictures so it just looks like I'm looking off into the distance.

Im wondering if on 3/31 it will softly resume with moonlight magic, expo, Everest with it officially resuming for day guests in parks 4/1 but like in Paris just costume characters face ones still roped off

Last I heard Everest refurb was extended to at least mid-April (potentially through all of April), in case anyone is counting on that ride... still so odd to me that the Everest race is back while the ride is down for refurb!

Ride closer has already been confirmed as being pushed from mid April to early May for completion and I agree Everest being down and TOT only running limited shafts is unfortunate with race themes

my comment was regarding how soon character meets would be back to not behind a velvet rope or shrubbery

Was saying this in the news thread but with Starcruiser allowing close and extended interactions with characters/staff, I think they need to extend that perk to other guests ASAP. Not to mention the whole thing with cases dropping, big problems with lines, etc. The crowd stuff is probably the biggest issue and an easy way to help with that is to give guests more things to do.

Forgive me if this has been asked, but it there a place that I can look for a group of people sharing race photos? We aren't doing parks this trip, but I would like some photo pass pics of the race. I did read the comments above, but I'd still like to have some finish line pics. I'm doing the challenge, so I would like pics from all three races.

Instead of corals labeled alphabetical it’s start groups labeled numerical ….
W&D 10K I was start group 4 of 4 and started 537am
MW 10k I was start group 5 of 6 and started 529am
Both times there were multiple mini waves to each start group but I wasn’t counting

No one in our group was able to submit a proof of time since we haven't run actual races in a couple of years, so I'm guessing we'll be in the later corrals. And I'm trying to plan breakfast for after the 10-miler, so it's good to have an estimated start time. Thanks!

No one in our group was able to submit a proof of time since we haven't run actual races in a couple of years, so I'm guessing we'll be in the later corrals. And I'm trying to plan breakfast for after the 10-miler, so it's good to have an estimated start time. Thanks!

No matter what happens, you'll will have a great time running in the Ten Miler. I have only participated in two running events myself...a local half marathon in Sunrise and the WDW marathon in January. You could not fairly compare the two. Between the characters, the music and the settings, it was an incredible experience. Have fun! My 15 y/o daughter and I will be running in the Ten Miler as well wearing Tower of Terror bellhop costumes.

I wonder if they renamed them because it was going to tie in to the arrival time thing that was mentioned for Princess but never ended up happening.
