Spring Cleaning Time!!! Booooo!!! Yeeeeaaah! Boooooo!

Can you tell I have mixed feelings about this time of year?

I started yesterday in one corner and just plan to move my way around the house cleaning every little nook. Yesterday, I finished under the fridge, between the fridge and cabinets, the fridge and freezer, above the fridge (which becomes a collection spot for junk). That's it! At this pace, it will take me until next spring to finish. I need to speed it up!

Is anyone else starting their spring cleaning?

Yeah, I'm starting but my hearts just not in it either. I'm thinking of taking a day off next week and just plowing through the house.

I had a service in last week. They were there 9 - 4 and I still have things I wish they had done so I don't have to!!!!

I clean throughout the year...so I mostly just need to get to my windows and blinds. Both girls closets have been through. I clean the trim in all bathrooms as I clean the floors. Now that I am thinking about it my vents do need cleaned. I am sure there are other things I can think of given time.

Okay, I have one half of the kitchen done. I pulled out all the pots & pans, food, cups, etc. and washed down all of the cabinets. Cleaned the stove, cleaned out the junk drawer. I'm getting there.

I wish I could get into cleaning mode. I'm a pig, so I'm not doing Spring Cleaning, I've been doing 2004 cleaning. It's my big project for the year to get completely organized. My former JUNK room looks GREAT, but that's about as far as I've gotten.

I'm with you DocRafiki! I'm still working on my junk room/computer room/ scrapbooking room. I've gotten alot done but still have much much more to do! I'm just trying to get organized and get rid of half of my "junk"! I think I need Clean Sweep to come for a visit!

I'm also working on sorting winter/spring/summer clothes.

Of course there's the every day cleaning to keep up with too!

Yep, nothing like a bunch of projects at once!

If only I had the time & energy!

I LovE THAT SHOW!!! But I have for some of the rooms I wonder if they go in there and MESS it up more for the show. There's NO way people could live like that. You know what I mean?

Last Sunday MIL was here and we rearranged all of my furniture and cleaned a lot as we went. It was great! And I love the way the house is now.

I can't get into the cleaning like the rest of you though.

Oh I'm not into it. I still don't even have the kitchen finished yet. I took a day off.

Oh I know some people who live like that! Two weeks ago I was at my best friend's house; the door to her office is ALWAYS shut. I asked if I could use her computer for something, and she paused for a second and said, sure....I opened the door and OMG; I was almost appalled (I would have been if she wasn't my best friend!). Junk stacked up practically to the ceiling, bills/papers/crap/food wrappers just EVERYWHERE on her desk & floor; somewhere in that room is a daybed, but you couldn't see one inch of it. It was truly frightening! Plus it smelled yucky-----like her cats had gone potty in there and it wasn't cleaned up. Clean Sweep was on the TV as I was in there and I almost said, "Uh, maybe you should audition for that show," but I didn't want to hurt her feelings. Their garage is even worse (you have to walk thru it to go to the backyard). I am no neat freak, and definitely have clutter strewn about here and there, but nothing on that scale!

As for myself, two weeks ago I cleaned out ALL the kitchen cabinets and drawers and gave 2 big boxes to Goodwill. Then I put new shelf paper in each drawer and shelf and scrubbed the cabinets. I also cleaned out the kid's room and threw out two huge garbage bags of junky broken toys. The yard is weeded, trimmed and mowed and plants are on order. I need to scrub the bathroom floors and do some standard cleaning upstairs. Also need to organize a few shelves in the office, although it's not too bad.
