Spring Break 2018. When is yours??

I don't have the calendar yet, but ours will be the Friday and Monday surrounding Easter.

Fairfax County, VA (Washington DC suburb) always has the week before Easter off. Most of the schools around here are that week (though a couple of districts are the week after Easter). So for next year it's March 26-30.

Central CT-April 8th to the 15th. We are going to Universal April 5th to 8th and then WDW April 8th-15th

NE CT here. Our calendar isn't released yet but luckily my DD's music teacher is a Disney fanatic (and former CM) and said ours is 4/16-20. We moved our 10/2016 trip to the Fort this week. We did this years ago when our vacation was a few weeks after Easter and it was wonderful. Crowds were better than September and we even had a pin so we got free dining anyway. We drove because airfare was so high but with the camper now we don't have to worry about that.

As a teacher, I want to say THANK YOU for planning around breaks and we'll be there on spring break 2018 too! However ours, in upstate (true upstate, not Albany, there's more NY after Albany folks!) NY is the week after Easter. We'll be celebrating Easter in the parks!

As a few others have shared, Massachusetts and Rhode Island are both April 16-20. That seems later than most so perhaps it wouldn't be a terrible time to go. I'll have to think about that....
This year's break happens to follow Easter but that's not the norm. Rather, our breaks are always around Patriots Day (third Monday of April).

My DS also starts Kindergarten next year so we will also have to try & not pull him out of school. I'm thinking either Spring Break or the 1st week after school gets out in June will have to be our new go to times. There is always the week between Christmas & New Years but I think that would be crazier than Spring Break.

Looks like the dates for the Northern Iowa area are 03/12-03/16/18.

I'm in Indiana and we are on a balanced calendar in our school district. They get two weeks of fall, winter and spring break. Spring Break for 2018 is March 19-30.

Our school schedule doesn't come out this far in advance (Bergen County-NJ) but coming from someone that's done it often -- I wouldn't worry about pulling kiddo out of kindergarten for a week. When they get into the higher grades (middle school and up) is when it gets more problematic. Just my 2 cents worth

I am along with @ErinsMommy and @twodogs about missing school. At least from my kid's experience, it's not a big deal in lower grades to miss a week so of school. They tend to catch up well since most things are pretty basic at their level. It's really the higher grades (middle school and up) should be concerned with missing that much of school. When my DS was in kinder/elementary school, I didn't have any guilty feelings of missing school for vacation. You could get the kid out on off season/lower crowd week and enjoy the vacation leisurely.
