and thank you to the other user also, i believe i read earlier your name was anna? or was that someone else?

Yup, that's my name :) I'm somewhat in the same boat but my situation is a little weird :rotfl: I made myself sick over worrying about getting in and I just had to relax and tell myself that there's only two options, either I get in or I don't. As much as I REALLY want to get in there's no point in worrying! I want this to be a positive experience so I just have to relax and wait for something in the mail. Keeping busy helps too, that way i'm not nervous when I go to get the mail  It's been almost two months now but my recruiter said that I should hear something soon so i'm just going to have to wait a little longer

I was wondering how everything was going with you...did you get the performer thing worked out?

PS: by the way, you can all call me Caitee. ;)

yeah, i read your story and i was going to comment on your ability to stay calm. and all things considered, i think youre definitely going to get in. you got the pending letter, right?

Thanks for asking Caitee :) They said that the performer role was taken off but the recruiting office also told me that I had chosen some limited roles; it's really my fault for only choosing three. So I re-faxed my application in with twelve roles :rotfl: I was really starting to get nervous so I checked everything that I would be okay with doing, not just things I really wanted. I'm hoping that helps them place me easier. My recruiter said I should hear something soon (I hope) ;) I'm sort of stuck in limbo but I think I will be okay.

i think if they werent going to accpet you, they would not have gone through all the trouble to try and help you. i had paperwork issues (i checked instead of initialing the last page of the role checklist - silly me), and thats kind of what my mom told me too. also, 12 roles is a lot! i thought i was doing well by marking off 10 hahaha! i think your chances of getting rejected are nearly non-existent.

Oh good, I'm glad they could take it off. Hopefully they can still take into account which roles were your top 3 and go from there. Honestly it seems strange to me that they would say you were too limitied, it wasn't like you just checked one role. I mean I checked five, but still, I told my interviewer that I really wanted the top three, the other two were safeties. :rolleyes2 She kind of got stern with me and told me that if I wanted to get into the program I had to be more open. So that was really worrying me, but then it turned out that I got my top choice anyway. :confused3 I don't really know how all that worked. But I had a feeling that you will get a role that you will like. :teeth: (Hopefully really soon, too! lol. ;) )

Yeah I thought it was a little strange too because I applied really early. The only thing that upset me was that my recruiter didn't tell me. She just told me to wait and see what happens. I thought it was a little strange so I called the recruiting office and they told me what was going on. I'm glad I did though! At first I was thinking more about what role I wanted but now I really just want to get it; I don't care where they put me! I think i'll be able to have a good experience no matter where i'm placed.

Okay, this is going to sound weird but when I was at Disneyland a few weeks ago my mom and I were in the magic shop and we were asking the magic eight ball questions (i'm superstitious like that) and I asked it if I was going to get it in and it said yes and then I asked it if I was going to get the role I wanted and it said no. Shortly after this whole thing happened and I was like....the eight ball was right! :rotfl:

:rotfl: I would say that they second question might have been pushing the 8-ball's magic too far and you should just count the first answer. ;)

But you know what's funny...I was at an amusement park (not Disney...gasp!) a week ago and they had some fortune tellers and I asked her the same question! She told me to hush, hush because I can't talk about working for the mouse while at this place, but then she told me that she felt that this would all work out in my favor. :teeth:

That's so funny! What attraction are you hoping to work at?

I haven't decided completely yet...I am thinking I might be placed in the Magic Kingdom, and if that is true then I think I want to be in Fantasyland and do Peter Pan. :teeth: Really, I am pretty open, I am just excited to be going. :goodvibes

Steve Martin worked at the magic shop in Disneyland when he was a kid! lol just some random information!

I <3 Steve Martin! :lovestruc

Just had my interview! ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh

I was asked a question about what I would look for if I was interviewing applicants for the phone interview... I don't quite remember what I answered for that.
I've never noticed posts about being asked about getting along with roommates or resolving conflicts...
I also hadn't realized they only ask you about 3 of the roles you select, when I asked my interviewer she asked me about a 4th. I put down Transportation, Attractions, Character Attendant, Merchandise and Recreation. I was asked about merchandise, attractions, transportation, then she also asked me about character attendant.

I was surprised the interview only lasted just over 20 minutes, is that about how long everyone else's was?
