I'm kind of in a weird position right now. I re-faxed my checklist like the office told me too but I don't know if it's too late

I just got an email back from my recruiter because i had emailed her to see if i could put the request in to work at a disney vacation club... in specific Saratoga Springs She said that she put the request in my file, but there are no guarentees, which is no problem with me. I can only imagine how time consuming it is to place everyone in a position!

I'm so happy though that I at least requested it, and it's now in my file and i'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I get one

Even if I dont, I really don't mind since I'll still be in Disney lol. It's all good, just thought i'd share the news!

My presentation was today (well ok, yesterday cause it's after midnight), turned in my application and my phone interview is at 1 on Sunday, I'm really excited!
Hopefully my roommate won't be shouting at any football games much during it haha

Thanks, my interview is at 10pm tomorrow night, fun times. I REALLY WANT CHARACTER ATTENDANT IF I GET A SPOT =( lol (I wish you could start off roles and go crazy like THIS ONE PLEASE but you can't lol). Or if I got Attractions again somewhere...awesome.

I just had my interview, lasted 15 minutes. I had Character Attendant, Attractions (I forgot to ask for a certain area, darn), and Vacation Planner as top choices.

She asked me an attractions question and two questions about Character Attendant. I am so nervous !!!! She asked why I wanted to go back again and I feel like I should have said "I LOVE DISNEY...WANNA COME BACK." I said something like "I am still trying to figure out what I want to do after college, and I want to come back in another role to see what else I can do with my skills (? something like that)" I feel dumb for that response . But I hope she got that I like Disney when I talked about my fave work experience. UGH I AM SO SCARED and need to fax and mail my stuff, and wait 4-6 weeks *sobs*.

oh geez. now i am really nervouse because i have been up all night reading everyones stories. literally every post on here i have read haha. it seems like absolutely everyone has been accepted, and i know we cant ALL get in, ive heard something like only 50 percent! i dont mean to be a bothersome because i know ive asked similar questions elsewhere, but im just really concerned with my chances. my interviewer was danielle, anyone else have her? i havent heard of her from anyone else. also my recruiter is christy.. anyone? also, i was wondering if anyone experienced excessive nerves lol. i mean i know we were all nervous but i just feel like my voice was extra shaky, and a little bit of stuttering. anyone else go through this? especially those that went through that and got accepted! haha.

My recruiter is Christy as well, she's been great. Some people who have other recruiters have complained that it's taken a long time for their recruiter to get back to them when they call/email. I've never had this problem with Christy, she responded to one of my emails in 5 minutes, and she's always been very attentive to what I needed. There was an issue where my first letter was lost in the mail, so she had another one shipped to me right away. I ended up waiting 6 and a half weeks, but I got in for Spring '09 attractions. It's a rough wait, but once you get the letter it makes it worth it. I'm sure you'll be fine.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I don't usually get nervous, but I was stuttering and shaking in my interview as well. I think that they know that this is an anxiety-inducing process and they expect most of us to be a little nervous. I wouldn't worry about not being accepted because of that.

Honestly, I was super stressed before I got my letter...I think that reading these boards was a blessing and a curse during that. haha. But this is what my friend who did the program last Fall told me before my interview and I think for the most part, it will hold true. As long as you have a clean record and you can show them during your interview that you are hardworking and enthusiastic about Disney you should have a pretty good shot. I hope you hear something soon!

thank you greatwide and shasta! i appreciate your responses. since i got replies on that im just going to keep on going until someone stops me lol. well, one more thing im worried about is one of my answers i gave. she asked me something about work experience, or experience at work, i honestly have no idea because i was really nervous lol. anyway, i didnt want to sound clueless and be like HUH!? so i proceeded to answer about my best experience AT work?? i told a huge long story about how one girl couldnt find a book and she was so sad and then blah de blah eventually i found it for her and i was so happy to put a smile on her face by something so small as a book (im a librarian). i mean, i know it was an ok answer, im just worried i didnt answer the exact question she was asking? you think this is a big deal?

I think you guys will be fine. If they are still interviewing then they have some spots left open Just try and get your stuff in as quick as possible and then don't worry!

yes! you got me.. that is exactly what i was going for. in my head i was like, well i have no clue how im supposed to handle this but i might as well make it a customer service answer haha
