Hi guys

We are doing a split stay on site. Checkout time of one hotel 1100, checkin time next hotel 1600. Is there any way of being able to leave luggage in AKL (our 2nd hotel), in preparation for check in?

We don't have a car, so nowhere else to leave luggage.

Thanks!

We done this this year. Started at the Biardwalk then moved on to Old Key West.
Couldn't have been any easier. Take the luggage to Bell Services, tell them where you're moving to and they'll give you a ticket. It'll take a couple of hours but once you check in to the AKL the luggage will be with their Bell services.

Really was hassle free.

Bell services will transfer luggage between Disney owned resorts for you however in any case they will hold luggage on check in until your room is ready and on check out until you are ready to leave :thumbsup2

Just don't forget to tip the bell services CMs that help with your luggage :goodvibes

One further thing; how much to tip bell services?

I use the guideline of $1 per bag ($2 for really heavy bags)

remember that tip is for service and you'll drop your luggage at the 1st hotel's bell service, and pick them up at the 2nd hotel's bell service. That means 2 services. IYSWIM

they also have cold rooms, so if you have perishable items, put them all in a cooler, or a separate bag and request that it be stored in the fridge

I will tip $1 to $2 per bag.

For example on checkout we will usually have 4 Owners Lockers (that are going back for collection), 2 suitcases, 3 hand luggage & a bag with a change of clothes - I will tip the bellman that collects it $15 or $20 and then $5 or $10 to the person who retrieves it when we are ready to leave for the airport.

Most times on check in we take our own cases up as we can usually get straight in depending on arrival time. In that case I will tip $10 for our Owners Lockers. If they have to store out cases for any reason I will tip the same as I would on checkout.

OKW I always tip slightly more as we like a room on an upper floor and there are no lifts!

Can I just jump in and ask a question please!

We are staying doing a split stay of OKW for 8 nights, 4 nights Disney Dream cruise and then OKW again for 2 nights. Can I leave some of our luggage at OKW for the 4 nights while we are on the cruise ( OKW will be 2 separate points bookings).

Thanks :goodvibes

Claire :)

I don't think so. You are not a Disney (on site) guest for the cruise period. Not certain though.

Absolutely you can, we have done this on a couple of occasions. It's fine as long as you are returning to Disney after your cruise. Just have bell services collect it and store it for you, then return it after your cruise (or you can collect it from them as they are right next to Hospitality House).

as long as you provide bell service with your ressie number(booking #2) and check in date, they''ll gladly hold your luggage for you during your cruise

You don't need to provide your reservation number, we never have. But, yes, let them know what date you will be needing your luggage back :thumbsup2

That's great thankyou! I didn't fancy hauling all our luggage onto the cruise ( I know we don't literally do it ourselves, but you know what I mean!)
Will just have to out a bit more planning into the packing! :goodvibes

Claire :)

Anyone know what time the Bell services are open from in the resorts?
I read somewhere its 24 hours but I am not sure?

Many thanks

Kev
