Split Stays and packages...

We're thinking of doing a split stay from POP to Poly. (Prob 2nts at Pop and 5nts at Poly...or maybe 3/4 split?) How does it work if you want to do a package with DDP? Is it true that you have to book TWO separate packages....thus actually paying much more for your tickets?

Any major DOWNS to doing a split stay (we'll have 2 toddlers). Is Pop (Preferred room) a good choice of value resorts?

You do have to make it two packages. You will have to have tickets on each package.

I've stayed at POP 4 times and have only paid for preferred once. It wasn't worth it to me because all of my regular rooms have been in the 50's and close to everything. Some people feel it's worth it to pay for the preferred location though.

We just got back from POP, standard room in the 50s section, and saw the fireworks from Epcot every night from our window! We were in the third building, on the 2nd floor, room 3232. It was wonderful! Could we see the entire show of Illuminations? No...but the fireworks sure made DS3 happy and he watched it every night! Got some great video of him so excited, so glad we got that!! And we used the buses sometimes and not a far walk at all!! I say go for the standard, save some money!
