We are trying to plan our october trip. I got a good deal on a group rate at poly but it is not for the first night. The best I can do is $400 for the first night. I am considering staying somewhere else that first night since we don't get in until 6pm. If we don't rent a car, any suggestions on how to get our stuff to the other resort. We have four kids so it will be no easy task? Those of you who have done this, do you usually get a taxi or something like that to help you do this? Any suggestions to help this go smoothly???

We moved from ASMu after one night and used a cab. We got in about 1:00 am and I didn't want my luggage trying to catch up to me at the WL from Magical Express. It was only about $15 and worth not having to worry about my luggage. Pretty easy, with 2 kids and 2 adults.

That sounds pretty painless and very cheap. Did it interupt your day having to transfer over and check-in again?

i did a split stay in march without a car, we called bell services the night before to have our luggage transported to our next resort the next day. when we checked out of the first place we just left our bags by the door and they showed up at our other resort in the afternoon. once they're at your other resort you can pick them up from bell services yourself or have them bring it up for you. it worked out well =)

We left ASMu at about 9:00 and were on our way to EPCOT by 10:30 if I remember right. Our room wasn't ready, but it was when we came back a few hours later. Very easy.

We are staying one night at ASMusic before moving to BCV. Can ASMusic transfer the bags to the Beach Club?

I used a taxi last year when I transferred from ASMU to SSR. I spent $20 with the tip and my family and my bags were there in 10 minutes.

One more question. Does anyone know if I do a split stay and we are on the dining plan do my dining credits have to be used up when I check out of the first resort and before I check into the other one?:confused3

lovepooh, your dining credits from the first stay would expire at midnight the day you check out of that resort.

If you're on the dining plan with both reservations, one thing to consider is that you will have to buy at least one day's worth of tickets for each stay to get the dining plan. Unless you have an AP.

thanks so much! I appreciate the information!
