Can you combine a split stay from different Use years into one reservation?

I assume your split stays are at the same resort? If yes, answer is no. In order to combine reservations, the membership, villa size and type must be the same. MS can link the reservations so the resort knows to keep you in the sane unit.

thanks for help
As above, they can’t be combined into a single reservation number. But you can chat/email/call MS after you book, give them both confirmation numbers, and ask that they be noted as a “continuing stay.” Then when you check in for the first part, go to the front desk and make sure the notation is there. If it isn’t, they can fix it better at that time! They want you to stay in the same room just as much as you do — it saves on housekeeping costs.

You can combine points from two memberships to make a single reservation. You just need to first transfer points from one membership to the other, and then the combined points can be used to make a single reservation (11 months out if points are from same resort; 7 if points are from different resorts). Though the usual rule is one transfer per use year, MS typically allows members to do more than one transfer per use year when the transfers are between two memberships owned by the same member.

The alternative, as discussed above, is to reserve the front end of your trip with one membership and the back end with the other (the check-out day for the front end needs to be the check-in day for the back end reservation), and then contact MS and have the reservations linked to avoid having to change rooms. I have done that a number of times in the past and have never had to change rooms. Note, important in that situation is to have everything the same -- same resort, same room type, and same people named on the two reservations.

Without starting a new thread, just wanted to check... Can I transfer points AFTER I make reservations in order to link them? I would prefer not to transfer points until I know that the days are available.

As an example, if I use one UY to make reservations for my first 3 days, and then another UY to make a reservation for the last 3 days, can I then transfer the reserved UY points over after so that MS can link the 2 separate reservations?

No. I would make the reservation for the first 3 nights and then call MS to transfer the points and add the last 3 nights. You can check for availability before you make the reservation for the first 3. That strategy will give you the best chance to get what you want.

If you are booking at 11 months, you are pretty much guaranteed the last 3 nights. If you are booking at 7 months, only a resort owner can jump ahead of you, and at that point, it's not likely one would.

Good luck.

I have two UYs and do this all the time, they note in chat it's a continuous stay. I call the morning I'm supposed to check out as well.

They have never made me move. They don't want to pay for housekeeping.

Thanks! I have both as a "continuous reservation" now, but the "perk" (had I used transferred points to merge them) would be that I can make my dining reservations for all days rather than waiting for each reservation window to open.
