So we are staying same studio but using points from two different contracts. VWL use years in April and October. After the first stay was over they closed out our account. It didn't switch to the next stay. Our room keys worked for the room but the computer stopped our charging privileges. We ate at the Biergarten and only because I happened to bring another credit card we didn't have too much trouble. My concern was when we got back to VWL they acted confused at first. As we went along we came to find out that Disney is aware of this computer glitch and hope to have it worked out within a year!?! Anyone else have this happen to them?

You had 2 separate reservations and you didn't have to change rooms. Seems like the reservation/accounting system worked as designed.

You would have had a great opportunity to have the DDP for only part of your stay.

Except linked reservations used to be completely seamless. Seems like a step backward IMO.

And a year to get the same functionality they used to have? :(

I so respectfully disagree. My room key showed my entire stay there should not have been a "blip" as far as I am concerned. I would understand if they told me I had to check-out and re-check in. They know this is a problem and put me in a bad place by not being able to charge to my room. If you can't fix the problem they should do something to help the process along until they do.

The key system is separate from the reservation system and sometimes they don't get along well together. Until all of the bugs of the new Lilo system are worked out all we can do is deal with the issues as well as we can. The DVC adds an additional level of problems to the mix.

The Front Desk has had to cancel our reservation to get our keys to print, and we seem to get keys that don't always say "DVC Member" so we make sure that we carry our blue cards.

Too true. I just am annoyed, I guess, that DVC and Disney are aware of the problem and do nothing to help the situation until they fix it. DVC has been around since 1994, this has had to have happened at least once before (insert sarcasm here) Like I said, tell me I have to re-check in... not a problem, leaving me kinda high and dry, not so good.

Did you go to the front desk on the morning of the 'new' reservation? You should 'check out' then check back in. If you skipped this step, that could be why you are having a problem.

Hope you had/have a great trip.
