Split Stay/SAB question

Hey all,

We're doing a split stay in a few weeks where the first leg of our trip is at Beach Club (then moving to an AoA suite). On our moving day, we don't have any parks planned and were planning on just hanging in SAB for most of the day. We've done this in years past where we hung out at BC at move-out day when it was the end of our trip without a problem, but reading about some of the issues with having to deactivate your band at your first resort and totally "check out" to get it to work at the 2nd, are we going to run into issues with our SAB access getting cut off at 11 am?

Can always call, but for specific questions like this find that folks who have experienced this usually have better info.

We did a split stay in July 2015 and did not "deactivate" our bands after leaving the first resort. Upon arrival at our second resort, we had the band activated for that resort with no issue.

If you're worried about this, maybe you should accept a separate magic band for each resort, then just change bands when you change the resort.

That's not a valid options as Magic Bands are not tied to a specific resort. Magic Bands are tied to your MDE account and act as a vehicle to give you access to the entitlements linked to your MDE account. Like room access, Tickets, Dining Credits, etc.

If you have a split stay and receive 2 sets of Magic Bands both sets will work for the entire trip, covering both legs of the split stay.

You will have access to SAB up until you check into resort #2.

That's not how disneydoes thugs though. Yore a guest until the end of the day you check out and can use that pool.

There's no need to disconnect the first band. A CM doing that is doing too much.

You probably aren't going to the second resort until later. So this isn't an issue at all. It'll be fine and if something weird happens, get it fixed.

The issue as been that the systems have a hard time if you check INto a resort either before checking out OR before official checkout time. But you won't be doing that.
