We will be staying at Pop Century Friday night and Saturday night of Marathon Weekend. We will be transferring to WL on Sunday. Our park for Sunday is Epcot and we are planning to get there between 11 and noon. We also have a dinner ressie at 5pm at Garden Grill. Should we head over to WL in the morning and check-in before we go to Epcot even though our room probably won't be ready? Or should I send DH to WL around 3pm to check in? And, what is the best way to get from POP to WL, POP to Epcot, or Epcot to WL and will the Marathon have a big impact on transportation late morning/early afternoon?

I'm not sure how much the marathon impacts traffic late morning/early afternoon, but I know that for early morning, it really messes things up. I was there in 2010 over marathon weekend, staying at Pop Century. I was there to work some days since I'm seasonal & my friend and I decided staying on property would be easier since we wouldn't have a car. I had to work at 10am at Epcot saturday & sunday. I got on an Epcot bus around 7am on Saturday, it went to the TTC (got there around 7:45), where I then had to get on the monorail to Epcot. I finally got to Epcot right at 9am. I ended up calling a friend to give me a ride on sunday.

The area around TTC is the most impacted by the marathon.

Whether you'll be driving or riding Disney Transport, I think you will avoid headaches by staying away from WL until 2 or 3 p.m.
