If you have a beef with this thread, blame @Lumpy1106 . Since we had a thread of the best loved attractions to be brought back, what about attractions that you are HAPPY that Disney gave the ol' 86 to. This was asked on my previous thread so I thought it deserved one of its own. As I said on my other thread, I thought Captain EO was kinda dumb, even if the special effects were ok. I also never got the love on Snow White's Scary Adventures. [which I know is still at Tokyo and Paris]

So what about you? What are you happy is gone at the Parks?

Honestly, I can usually find something to like about any attraction. Maybe some aren't for me, but that's okay too. I'm not usually "happy" to see anything gone. To be fair, I never did experience the notorious Superstar Limo, but have seen videos - that was vastly improved by becomming Mike & Sully. Interestingly, a lot of the CDA monsters in hazmat suits are actually still the same celebrity figures!

Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management. I like to think that the Tiki gods thought that version of the ride was so bad that they personally sent the fire to the attraction that burnt one of the Iago animatronics to a crisp.
Ok that made me laugh my *** off. I agree that under new management is pretty bad.

I already said it in the other thread, but Ellen's Energy Adventure was too long and boring. Replacing that with Guardians (which I haven't even ridden yet) was a great choice.
I also wasn't sad to see Lights, Motors, Action go. It was neat to see once, never needed to do it again.

Stitch's Great Escape. As a character, I think Stitch is cute; that attraction was just bad, especially after the excellent Alien Encounter.
Apparently when Eisner rode Alien Encounter he said it should be scarier. But considering the howls of terror I heard the only time I rode it, I’m not sure I agree.

I may get some hate for this, but The Great Movie Ride.

We thought it was a disappointment from the first time we rode it in 1990. We took a long break from MGM/HS after that, but upon our return, it became an attraction we rode just to get out of the heat/cold and have something to do...since there weren't a lot of great options until recently.

Alien Encounter/Stitch. I can't say I hated em but the repeat factor once you knew what was going to happen was very low.

The great Movie Ride. Major disappointment.

Tiki Room under new management.

One from DCA..... Supercheap Lamos. This was a crappy off the shelf dumpster fire of a ride. Check that. A view of a live dumpster fire would be better. Note Disney called it superstar limos.

The ride that shall not be named that existed between the original Figment and Dream catcher and the later Figment ride. Yes.. Believe it or not the figment ride was an improvement on the middle one. It was that bad.

Behind the magic tram ride. studios Paris. What were they thinking?

I remember this one chiefly because they took your photo on it. My sister and I used to ride it just to see the expressions on people's faces as the photos were displayed on the way out. We would laugh until we cried because absolutely *everyone* looked like they'd just seen an orphanage on fire.

I think it was bad in comparison to AE. If AE had never been a thing, I think Stitch would have been received a lot more positively. I know my DD would rope-drop it if they re-opened it tomorrow.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but, both DL/DCA, Superstar Limo and Rocket Rods. I am embarrassed to admit I have ridden both of these rides. Rocket Rods I am further ashamed to admit I waited a full two hours to ride. The line did not seem that bad getting in, but the thing kept breaking down.

In WDW, Imagination 2.0 was bad in comparison to what is there right now, and a travesty compared to what it replaced.

My family finally got to ride Rocket Rods after about half a dozen visits to Disneyland. It was always down whenever we were nearby.

This time we lucked out and it reopened while we were in the area and the wait was only about 10 minutes. About 2/3 of the way thru the ride, sure enough, it broke down again and we were stranded on the elevated track. It took about 20 minutes for a cherry picker to evacuate us.

An employee gave us a slip of paper telling us to go to Guest Services. We expected perhaps a coupon for a free Mickey Bar or at most a counter service meal, but we received complimentary return passes for a future visit.

By the time we returned Rocket Rods had permanently closed.

This is what I was going to say as well. The character is super cute, but I didn't find the attraction fun at all.

This one gets a lot of hate but I haven’t been to DL since I was 7. Isn’t this just a roller
Coaster?

I will say that I was bummed
That Disney finally caught on and removed Steven Tyler’s dirty gesture in Rock n Roller Coaster. I always got a kick
Out of it.

I remember it as a slow ride with creepy animatronics of Hollywood stars. Did they change it into a roller coaster at some point before its early demise?
