Spinoff from the how long do you keep you car thread.....how old is your car and how many miles do you have on it.

I for one love to "mile" up my car...:lmao: I drive that thing everywhere.

Right now I have an '03 Explorer with 172,500 miles on it. And I hope it keeps kicking for a looooong time!

My "new" car is 2 1/2 years old and it has 86,000 miles on it. It is a Subaru Impreza. My "old" car, still in use by my daughter and by me as a backup when the new car needs maintenance, is over 10 years old and has over 225,000 miles on it.

We plan to keep driving both cars until they die underneath us!

2009 Subaru Legacy and it just rolled over to 30000 miles. I have a 70 mile total commute everyday.

I have a 2009 Malibu, and I am just about to hit 12,000... I might actually today!

1999 VW Passat with 167,000 miles.

I want a new one!

I have a 2003 Caravan with 61,000 miles on it. Hoping it can last another years until we pay off Dh car.

I have a 2002 with 156,000 miles and a 1993 with 21,000 miles. Cathy has a 2002 with around 85,000 miles and a 2009 with 1000 or so.

My aunt has 102,000 on a 2000 Accord. Besides the clear coat of paint wearing thin, and the few dings on the doors. It looks almost new. It amazes me how clean the engine is.

I'm the other end of the spectrum -- 2008 Toyota Camry, 7500 miles (yep, seven thousand five hundred). The dealer called the other day and tried to buy back my car and get me in a new one. I told them it was a new one. When they asked the mileage, the woman said, "Uh, you mean 75,000, right?". I said no, 7500. :rotfl2: Hopefully I will have this car for many years to come.

My previous car was a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus with about 30,000 miles on it. The only reason I got rid of it was because the engine died. Mechanic told me I need an entire new engine. :scared1: Wasn't going to spend a few thousand on that, so I gave it away to charity and didn't have a car for about 6 months, until I bought my Camry.

Well I like to rack up the miles too. I have a 2004 Suburban it has 157000km on it. I had a 2001 Chev Astro before that and sold it when it had 230000 km on it and only sold it because i needed something bigger to tow with. Before that I had a 1086 Chev Astro and it had over 400000 miles on it. It came from florida with over 200000 when i got it and I put another 200000 on it. It was towed out of my driveway. My wife just got rid of her 1997 ford escort and it had 230000 km on it. She now has a 2007 Ford escape. It has maybe 80000km on it.

We just moved back to the USA, so for 5 years I just drove my van for about 7 weeks every summer and 2 weeks every Christmas...that kept my miles lower than they would have normally been. That being said... my van is a 2001 Venture, bought new in Nov. of 2000, it has 150,000 miles on it.

BUT...I have a brand new 2011 Expedition ordered.... just waiting for it! We will keep the van for DS15 to drive.

DH has a 2010 Challenger with about 600 miles on it!

We normally keep our cars until about 150,000 miles.

I have a 2006 Sienna, 44k on it. DH has a 2003 Landrover, 30k on it. He uses in only to to/from the train bus. That's why it has such low mileage. That car sucks though, I'm waiting for it to die!!!! My car also isn't doing too well, I'm going to trade it in next year.

99 Nissan Altima with 106,000

08 Ford Escape with 29,500 (bought new only because we got a deal through work and 1.9% financing, better than we could get on a used car - the past few years are one of the few times it has sometimes made more financial sense to buy new than used)

My 2007 Dodge Caliber has 60,000 miles on it --- I will actually hit 60,000 on my commute home this evening. Luckily, in 4 months I'm able to work from home a few days a week, so I'll only be putting 200 miles a week on it instead of my current 500!

My DH hasa 2005 Toyota Coralloa with 48,000 miles on it. Since his round-trip commute is about 6 miles, we will have his car for a LONG time.
