I am going to do a split stay in October AKL to BLT for one night then back.
Question is, member service said they will arrange transportation to and from if I let them know when I check in and I asked what exactly that was and she said I would find out there.

For anyone who does split stays do they pick you up with your luggage and take you to your resort? Is that by ME or shuttle van?

I was just going take a taxi to BLT, I called Mears they said about $20 and then the next day have them take my luggage to AKL and I would go to Epcot and later in the day take the bus to AKL.

Thanks in advance!

When you leave your first resort, you can arrange with Bell Services to move your luggage and other belongings to your next resort. You will need to have them pick it up while you are there or bring it to them. Then you go and do what you want to do, ie, visit a theme park, go swimming, etc. You take the bus from the theme park to your new resort.

But are you asking about Magical Express from the airport to arrive at your first resort?

Member services said they would take me to the new resort and thats the first I heard of it and wanted to know if anyone else was taken to their next resort by some type of Disney transportation.

I was either going to take a taxi or do as you have said..

We do split stays all the time and only the luggage has gone. We had to arrange our own way there, usually taxi.

We have done many split stays and never heard of MS moving you. We send our luggage with Bell Services then go off to a park and then head to the new resort from there via WDW transportation.

Maybe you could leave most of your luggage at the first resort with bell services and just send what you need for the one night and next day. You could take the bus to MK and walk over to check in at BLT. Then the next day you could send the smaller luggage back and go about your day going to AKV after your park day. I have done split stays but not for just one night. It is really just too much trouble especially if you have food to store but am sure you will enjoy BLT even for that short period.

That sounds like a good plan.
There was no availability at AK Jambo for Oct. 31 and since we are doing MNSSHP it seemed like a good idea to stay at BLT for one night which is all that was available.

You could waitlist at AKV, if you really don't want to move. Moving to BLT for one night is not really worth it, IMHO. Although, being able to walk back to BLT after the MNSSHP is a nice feature of staying there. When you move to BLT, you may not be able to check in until 4PM or later and you could have the same situation the next day when you go back to AKV. How many more days do you have after you move? Maybe you could WL BLT for those days and then just stay at BLT.

Since you are doing MNSSHP that evening, you should make sure that you have everything you need for the party in a carry-on that you personally check with bell services. Your luggage is not transferred from AKV to BLT until the afternoon, so don't pack your costumes in the transferred luggage if you want to wear them early.

When we have transferred to BLT from AKV we have used a taxi once ($20) and we have just taken park buses to MK the other times.

Me too! I've done about 10 split stays, and MS has never offered to move me. My next stay is a Kidani/BCV split, and I think I might call MS and ask about this. I'm surprised they've never offered, if they do move you.
