Congrats to you for losing 3 lbs, that is amazing while on vacation. I can gain 3lbs in a fun weekend at home, don't even get me started on vacation!!
Poor Jasmine and Aladdin!! They were so cute together but kudos to her for making such a big decision. I hope they remain friends.

I am so sad to hear about jasmine and Aladdin It sounds like she had to make a mature decision. She is such a lovely and sweet girl I am sure she will be fine.
WAY TO GO ON THE WEIGH IN!! I remember you saying that you were only going to eat half. I did not gain on the trip and have lost 3lb since being home. Congrats!!

I'm hoping by next summer's trip to be in a size 12,...fingers crossed!

Oh Queen...so sorry to hear about Jas and Aladdin! He seemed like such a great guy! But your daughter seems like she has a pretty good head on her shoulders, so if she wasn't feeling it, it is probably for the best. There is so much growth, change and development in that 1st year out of high school - sometimes you need to be on your own to figure out what you want.

I am amazed that you actually LOST weight on vacation!!! Like that would ever happen to me. You go girl!!!

Hopefully your luck with the buses continues for most of the trip. I know what you mean though....when they work, all is great in the world. But when they don't work, you just want to die. It is those 1 or 2 times out of the week that they don't work that usually causes me to rent a car.

You are so right my friend...such a tough time in general right now for them. A very dear Dis-friend who no longer frequents the Boards said "too bad they had to meet so young" she was so right

I was amazed too....I could have kissed my weigh in lady I was so happy!! Trust me...there were times on this trip that I wanted to rent a car......

Nice job losing a few pounds on vacation I always manage to come home a few pounds heavier!

It's the first thing I do when we get into the room..turn on the tv to the weather channel....the fact that I remembered it was channel 37 caused my daughter to utter the comment "of course you would remember that"

Thanks for your kind words, it is a hard time, but the great thing about being older and wiser lmao is I know "and this too shall pass". It's just so hard on both of them that it breaks my heart.

I used to go absolutely crazy with the shopping when we were there and half the stuff we never used....it's so enticing though

Please don't fall off your chairs, I know two posts in one weekend is unheard of from me, but I have no idea what this week will hold so I figured I have time today, I'm gonna get another one together.

This would be our first full day in the World. What would we be doing....having our very first Dis-meet. We would be meeting up with Sophia (OhioDisneyLover) and her wonderful family...in total there would be 9 of us. We couldn't wait! When we were planning it, Sophia suggested trying to get an ADR somewhere and she threw out a couple of places. I called and couldn't believe our luck when we scored a 920am ADR at Kouzzina's at The Boardwalk.

Jasmine and I thought we would be able to have a little bit of a sleep in because it wasn't like we had to eat before we left the hotel for the day. No such luck...we were both wide awake so we decided it was such a glorious morning that we would just go early and enjoy The Boardwalk....somewhere we had never been.

Here is Jasmine wandering over to take a pic of the palm trees ... she wanted them as her background on her blackberry.

As you can see, it wasn't exactly going to be a crowded boat ride this morning

We say this little guy while we were waiting and I thought he was the oddest looking turtle I'd ever seen....Sophia's hubby Joe was able to tell us that it was an alligator snapping turtle....so cool!

We had such a great ride over that morning...to see the sunshine and not have the horrid humid temps that we had had last August felt so good. It was hot, but not that really sticky heat.

Jasmine on The Boardwalk...we have stopped her many times over the years but have never actually gotten off the boat...we were so excited to explore this beautiful resort!

There is nothing I hate more than if we are late...so I was thrilled we were half an hour early, I would much rather be super early than 2 minutes late...Jasmine says it's my OCD hard at work....so cheeky that girl. I used this time to take some pics

Couldn't resist this shot of where our morning meal would be taking place...I think Cat Cora is the best of all the Iron Chefs and I couldn't wait to taste the food!

We were going to sit on this bench and wait, but it still had the morning dew on it and we didn't think we'd make a good first impression if it looked like we wet ourselves!!

All of us around the table...I love a round table because everyone can chat. From left to right is Sophia's cousin, mom, sister, nephew, Jasmine, me, Sophia, her hubby Joe, and her brother. We had such a great time with them...they were so much fun I can't even begin to tell you! It was like we had been friends for years!

My breakfast....so yummy..it was marsarpone (sp?) cheese, candied pecans and honey....to die for!!! I laughed when Joe said "oh yeah, she takes pictures of the food" and I laughed and said "yes, it's what us Disers do! They cracked me up! They were so kind as to pay for our meals and I hope in the near future to be lucky enough to be there at the same time to repay their kindness!

Jasmine is anything but an adventurous eater so she had her waffles plain.

It was so nice to hear all about their vacation so far, the good and the bad! No vacation is ever perfect and they had their share of not so fun stuff so far on their trip, but it never changed their attitudes....you gotta love that in people! After a great breakfast we decided we would all wander around The Boardwalk for a while. I took these while walking and chatting.

Then we decided we couldn't be there and not visit the Bakery....oh good lord, the restraint I had to show here was nothing short of heroic!! Jasmine grabbed the camera and started snapping...her and Sophia were having a ball!

We continued into a few of the stores and looked around....it really puts you in the mood to know you're really at Disney! We decided to get a girls shot outside so Sophia's nephew took this one for us....we had just the best morning with them!

Of course I had to get one of just Sophia and I....we realized we were all going to be at Epcot on Sunday, so we decided we would try and meet up again as she had brought pens from the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and forgot to bring them with her...such a sweet gesture!

I can't for the life of me remember where they were off to after this, but Jasmine and I headed back to the resort for our first afternoon by the pool, we couldn't wait!!!

I took the ham out of the oven and put it on the platter. Later on I helped with the dishes. Seems like a fair trade to me.

We had a very good weekend, a bi cold but a great weekend. Declan scored his first touchdown, we had two dinners,and got everything put away for the winter.

We were a bit jealous of that 20 degrees you had out there though.
