First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all our fellow Canadians....not sure how the weather is in the rest of the country but we are basking in 20 degree heat here...we'll take this as long as it lasts....we all know how our winters are

Secondly, I want to apologize for taking so long to get another update completed. We have not had a great week here. For those of you who have followed our trip reports you all know Aladdin, Jasmine's boyfriend. Well I'm so sad to say they broke up Wednesday evening. To say I'm heartbroken is an understatement...he was such a part of our lives that I can't imagine it without them together. He is the kindest, sweetest boy you could ever hope your daughter could date....but unfortunately Jasmine wasn't feeling the same way towards him and decided to end it. I hope she doesn't regret her decision in the future......

Thirdly, I had my first weigh in after returning from 2 weeks at WDW and I am over the moon to say I lost 3 pounds. I thought about every single thing I ate and drank while there....and at times I thought "I'm on vacation, I don't think I have to watch everything" then I would remember "the hill" and "the stairs" and how out of shape I was at the beginning and there was no way I was going back to struggle with my exercise. I had whatever I wanted, but I always only ate half....if I ordered a cocktail, I had no dessert. I never felt like I was deprived so it proved to me I can do this...at home or not!

Ok enough of that stuff...on with the TR....

I left off with us settling into the room and Jasmine crashing for a few hours. it was high time she was up....we were in Disney for heaven sakes!

Up she got and freshed up a little because we were off to DTD. This would be the first instance of many on this trip that I would screw up. I don't know where my head was at before we left (I guess I saw the signs in Jasmine and this affected my trip plans cause man did I goof up alot) but I had no idea they were refurbishing the bus stops at the Marketplace so we took the trip around to the West Side. It was an absolutely beautiful evening so we took a leisurely stroll from there over to The Marketplace....our plans were dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express!

I couldn't resist taking of picture of our first week ahead in weather....it was going to be gorgeous. We are so used to going in August and having rain every afternoon that this was going to be heavenly

We headed out to the bus and one came right away...we looked at each other and hoped our luck would last throughout the trip with the buses...sometimes it did, other times it was pure torture.

Took this outside the Lego store...I honestly don't remember this being here in January when we were there, but I could be wrong...I thought it looked cool though.

I thought these window displays were gorgeous....I have no artistic ability whatsoever, so seeing these blew my mind

Ahhhh, my favorite store on earth....we went in and checked out what they had but we decided on the trip down that we would purchase nothing for the first week, that we would just wander around and make a note of what we thought we would like and get it later....I have always gone a little crazy when we first arrive and then kick myself for spending so much money, so this was my new plan for this year

This was just outside the BBB and I thought of my nieces and how much we would be missing them on this trip...especially Jasmine as they will ride the rides over and over again with her

As we left the side entrance to the WoD store, we stopped to watch this performer, he was really very good....this is when I looked at Jasmine and said "we're really here'

We then headed to Tren-D...Jasmine's fav store on property....now remember the "we're not buying anything for a week rule" well it went out the window 5 minutes after we were in this store. My dear friend Leanne, a fellow Diser, and her family sent Jasmine a gift certificate in June as a graduation present so that she could use it on our trip. Well I promised Lindsey and Josie of pic of her using it and here it is. She bought this dress at Tren-D and I have to say it looks great on her....I'll have to take a pic of her in it now and post that! Jasmine sends her love and thanks again Leanne

We then headed off to WPE to grab a bite to eat, by this time we were starving! Jasmine took this picture of me while we were waiting for our meals. She said she wanted it because I looked so happy....of course I was happy, we were together, just us, at the happiest place on earth. I find myself fighting back tears as we sat there rethinking all the great memories this wonder place holds for all of us.

I ordered the butternut squash soup which is my absolute favorite thing here....everything is delicious, but this soup is all I could think of on the plane!

Jasmine ordered the pepperoni pizza and I had a couple of bites and boy is it delish!!!

After dinner, we wandered back over to the West Side to grab the bus back to the resort. It had been a long day and we had very special plans the next morning for our very first Dis -meet of the trip!!!!

Sorry to hear about the break-up My Aunt, Uncle, and cousins are at WDW right now and DD cousin 18 brought her boyfriend (16) with them and they've only been together for a few months so we were all interested as to how that would play out if they broke up before the trip but they didn't so I guess we will get a full report on how he survived when they get back!

The food looks very yummy!!!

I love World of Disney too. I think I could spend days in there if Joe would let me. I tend to do my shopping when we first arrive because I have no will power and cannot wait until the end of the trip. Yep, no will power at all!!!

The World of Disney is a great store...I could spend all day in it.

I'm sorry about Jasmine and her boyfriend breaking up. Our oldest son did this with his girlfriend a year ago. And, yes, he has regretted it and has been trying the last four months to get back with her...but she is dragging her feet and I'm not sure they will ever get back together.

Thank you! WoD is a killer isn`t it....I honestly feel like I need to buy everything in the store...then I try and regroup and think...what would I use everyday....love the kitchen stuff!!

Yes, it`s just the beginning of tough decisions, but you`re right, its all about growing up! I love DTD in the evening.....it`s a great way to start the vacation off!

Yes, it actually makes total sense...she said it wasn`t fair to him and as hard as it was for her to do it, she said she had too...quite a grown up decision.

So hard....so many nights I wanted to keep eating but I knew I`d be so uncomforable after, but boy could I have eaten

Oh Queen...so sorry to hear about Jas and Aladdin! He seemed like such a great guy! But your daughter seems like she has a pretty good head on her shoulders, so if she wasn't feeling it, it is probably for the best. There is so much growth, change and development in that 1st year out of high school - sometimes you need to be on your own to figure out what you want.

I am amazed that you actually LOST weight on vacation!!! Like that would ever happen to me. You go girl!!!

Hopefully your luck with the buses continues for most of the trip. I know what you mean though....when they work, all is great in the world. But when they don't work, you just want to die. It is those 1 or 2 times out of the week that they don't work that usually causes me to rent a car.
