Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

well as predicted I knew the little girl's well visit would take away half my day...it's 12:30 here and I have yet to do anything or eat...but don't you know the Dis is more important than my hunger...actually just waiting for NR to finish eating so I can eat undisturbed ;)

but on my agenda today is to do laundry, fold it, get the kids school clothes out, finish my last minute packing (few things may be tomorrow that need to hang dry)

we have some blustery snow going on today through the next two too...but hopefully nothing to affect the flight on Thurs morning. keeping my fingers crossed

no weird Disney dreams coming from me...which is unusual  I could make up one for you if you'd like

well I hope everyone can accomplish what they need to today w/ the kiddos hm.

check in later

J~

OH and PS not even thinking about this time next week

So I did some Fuzzy Disney Math today.....I figured the $35 I saved by doing my own pedi today can be put towards something for myself at Disney - guilt free!

I know what you mean... They are saying less for us down here on the Seacoast (we're in the 2-5 zone), but we'll probably have sleet & freezing rain mixed in after noon! I'm hoping it doesn't effect school at all... but the boys do have their winter concert tomorrow night so let's hope they don't have to cancel that! I have appointments tomorrow so I'll probably get my MIL to come over & stay with the kids if necessary.

Have fun doing online check-in tomorrow!! :cool1:

Channel 9 just said we are in the 5-10 inches of snow range. Cody is hoping no school for tomorrow as he is not feeling well.

It should be better on Wed. Are you leaving on Wed.?

I know I just saw that they moved the line & upped the amounts! :scared1:

I'm not leaving until Thursday morning but have a couple appointments tomorrow so I'm really hoping school is open... Hopefully my hair dresser can fit me in on Wednesday if I can't get there tomorrow... though I could always bring the boys to the appointment - it's at 9am & she actually cuts their hair too. She's the only one there so we wouldn't be bothering anyone. It just won't be very relaxing!

So this morning I woke up at 5:20 to "MOM, I PEED MY BED" coming from Zach's room. Unfortunately, this isn't uncommon. I drag myself out of bed, help him get changed, change his sheets enough for him to climb back in bed. He says, "Can I have the ipad? Dad let's me have the ipad." Ugghh... "No Zach, it's only 5:20, you need to go back to bed." I headed back to my bed.

At 5:45 the phone rings... It has to be the Superintendant's office... Yup... "Good Morning, this is so & so from Superintendant so & so's office. It's Tuesday, January 18th and..." The message ends... :confused3 So I have to go online (thank you for iphones) and check the school cancellations... no school! :headache:

At 6:00 Zach yells again, "MOM!!" Tim gets up and gives him the ipad. :rolleyes1

I tried to go back to bed each time and might have nodded off for a few minutes here & there, but basically I've been up since 5:20.

Now I have the kids home all day & REALLY need to get my hair cut & colored. I've decided to take the kids along with me since they won't bother anyone. We'll just have to pack a big bag of stuff to do.

As for my appointment this afternoon, I'll just cancel it & see if she might be able to see me tomorrow. My hair lady does waxing too, but I like the skin lady at the spa better.

Now for the countdown...

Looking good!!! :cool1::cool1:

I'll check in later...

Heidi - I hope Liam has school but I suspect you're in the same boat as me! Good Luck!!

Oh Amy! That is not a pleasant way to start the day. I hope it improves for you!

Heidi-I'm going to guess you will be in the 80's section at Pop. And maybe they have Flame Tree open now during PM EMH at AK. :confused3 It's worth a shot for the yummies!

Have a FANTASTIC trip ladies!!! I look forward to hearing all about it on the other side. I hope the weather forecast stays good and the days just crawwwwwwwl by why you are there. :goodvibes

We just got back a bit ago from traveling to speech therapy this morning for Liam....nothing like 40 mph on the highway. No school this afternoon for Liam....thankfully I had the good sense to drag my butt to the grocery store last night. Now I just have to worry about my flight tomorrow....thankfully it's not first thing in the morning so I'm hoping that it leaves on time but I bet that my DH is going to make us leave for the airport ridiculously early. After the snow ends we are proposed to get rain/freezing rain. Let's hope it warms up.

oh man really hoping you have no travel issues :wizard:

The forecast looks great for your trip!

I agree...can't wait to see some green considering all we see out those windows is white and to feel some sunshine on my face :goodvibes

Well ladies...I am proud of myself doing all my laundry and actually folding and putting it away yesterday :cool1: of course the kids have small piles in their laundry bags in their rooms...but nothing that can't wait till next week. I also packed most of my medicine and packed a pair of shorts and put my capris and croc sandles in my carry-on.

On today's agenda:

1) take a shower....

2) find out if my eye glasses can be adjusted and temp fixed (yes I walked into a wall yesterday and broke my glasses...cracked the frame where the ear piece conects to the frame...only me...seriously :sad2:)

3) play a game(s) w/ the kids (they are off school again teacher institute day)

4) finish working on the school event stuff I need to deal w/

5) schedule bill pay

6) take Nathan to dentist

7) get my haircut/color tonight

well I better get to it

J~

Checked in for my flight....got Group A, #50. But the Group/position didn't print on my boarding pass....odd. Has this happened to anyone before? I figure I'll just re-print at the airport.

Good luck with your to-do list! I was able to get my hair cut & colored but it wasn't fun! Every five minutes Alex would ask, "Becky are you almost done?" :headache:

Hmmm... I've never heard of that happening before. Hopefully it'll be fine at the airport. I'm excited to check-in tomorrow morning!! :cool1: I paid for EBCI for the return flight so I don't have to worry about it on Saturday.

We're hunkering down for the rest of the day... Tim is at work but hopefully he'll get home a little early. Winter concert at school is postponed a week or two so I'll have some extra time on my hands. :cool1:

Now I'm going to empty out my purse & pack up my park bag & carry-on... Everything is just in a big pile right now. It looks like Thursday will be the warmest day so like Julie, I'm packing pair of capris & sandals in my carry on. :thumbsup2

I have been lurking, but now that your trip is almost here, I want to wish you ladies a wonderful trip. I hope you have a great time and make a lot of progress on the book. What a great idea that will be a blessing to many. Have fun!!:goodvibes

:welcome: Thanks for saying Hi & for the warm wishes for our trip! :goodvibes

Here are a few pictures of our snow day today. Keep in mind we got about 16-18 inches of snow last Wednesday so all of this isn't from today.

I only went out for the newspaper, but Zach wanted to shovel the deck. He didn't make it very far!

thanks so much for your warm wishes!

We've had a ton of rain over my way and are due for a light dusting of snow Thursday. So hoping it waits until after I leave, but have decided I need to bring an extra pair of sneakers after walking around in wet sneakers part of the day.:sad2:

So ready for the trip, today was meltdown city for both my kids, think we are starting to lean toward getting Joey evaluated here pretty soon now.

Oh Jess - I'm sorry to hear that you are seeing red flags with Joey.

Just another day and a half to go!

I got all but one thing on my to do list done. I'll have to wait until the kids go to bed for that one thing......

......on my list was "take nap". :rotfl2:
