Spectrum Moms Take on The World! Our Last Day...Multiple Posts!

No I've been trying to figure that out, but not sure how I figure that out :laughing:

Anybody can correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it usually about 3 hours before your flight departure time? They'll give us specific times the day before we leave, right?

Yes, your ME bus will leave (typically) 3 hours prior to the time of your departure flight. Give yourself time to travel from where you are back to Kidani and to get any carry-on bags that you left with bell services.

Someone I know (:rolleyes1) spent too much time enjoying her Dole Whip at the Poly and had to take a taxi back to her resort so she didn't miss her ME bus.....but boy was that Dole Whip good ! :rolleyes1

weather girl...thanks for the update..it's all over the place huh? :confused3 we'll just be winging it I guess

time...Nathan's therory is he wants the days to zip by super fast leading up to a trip...but the days during a trip should be like in space...super slow....;) I agree!

status...I'm basically good to go at this point, couple minor things ahead and I know the rest of today and Mon Tues will fly into Wed. It's sureal I'm heading back to Disney in just 4 days :goodvibes I was taken aback when on Friday night when Matt and I got together w/ our small group (life group) and when I asked for prayer for our weekend they really wanted to know all your names, your kids and ages...it was truly touching

yes that is generally right...3 hrs ahead and we'll all know our DME pick up times the day before when they sadly slip the check-out materials under our door. As well for Disney to take your bags to the airport for you and check them you need to do that at the minumum 3 hrs prior to your flight...so we should all be OK doing it after we finish in the room and head our ways...

Sadly this time next week will be our last day of this trip :sad1:...but NOT the last of all the fun, laughter, tears, and hugs I know we will all share each day forward:grouphug:

I am pretty positive Anne Marie & I will be at MK about this time finishing up some last minute fun before needing to head back to the resort and catch the DME bus back...figure catch up (if not w/ already) several other ladies flying out in the 7/7:30 pm time frame....

Jess - You can leave your checked bag with resort airline check-in in the morning and not have to worry about it until you get home. Are you checking a bag? :confused3 For some reason I'm thinking that you aren't??

That's really sweet about your group Julie! :goodvibes

I can't wait!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

The kids & I got their rooms cleaned this morning, I've been running laundry all day, did a bit of ironing - mostly non-trip related & now I've crashed a bit! I sat down for a few minutes & didn't think I'd ever get back up!

Hoping to go back through my suitcase & re-organize everything once the laundry is finished... either later today or tomorrow. Still trying to figure out my shoes. :confused3

I, too, have mixed feelings about our "one week from today." Sunday will be our last day :sad1: but like Heidi, I'm kind of excited about a day without any set plans at all!

I'm so tempted to try something that I've heard other people have done: to wait at the resort bus stop and simply hop on the first bus that comes along! I don't know... do you think a normally obsessive planner like me can do it??

Kathy

I can't believe it's this week! (Kathy, pack your phone charger ;))

I'm planning on dinner at Chili's or Macaroni Grill to pass the time before my flight.....I'm hoping at least some of you will join me (sadly Tracy will be long done :sad1:)

Great idea! I'm in! Either is fine with me. :thumbsup2

OK I'm done "shopping" for this trip. Picked up a mini lint roller and Vitamin C drops today.

This time next week I will be in the air flying home and praying that the Steelers win.

Sadly, one week from today, we'll all be home and really tired! But we haven't even gotten there yet!!

I had my crazy Disney dream last night... I was on a bus, but it wasn't a Disney bus so I had to ask if they could drop me off at AKL? :confused3 The driver said yes, but it wasn't on the route so she'd have to drop me off last! :rotfl: Then I remembered that I hadn't put my ME tag on my luggage so my bag was sitting at luggage claim at MCO! I was deciding if I needed to go back to the airport or if I could call Disney to claim it for me, but I woke up so I don't know what happened! :confused3

Now that I'm sure of the suitcase I'm taking, I'm going to put my ME tag on today. ;)

And a local forecast from news 13:
Thursday: Mostly Sunny 75
Thursday night: 56
Friday: 30% chance of showers, 75
Friday night: 58
Saturday: Mostly Sunny 72
Saturday night: 52
Sunday: Mostly Sunny 69

The nights look good! :thumbsup2 I didn't like those 30s & 40s that they were seeing earlier this month!

Kiddos are home today so I don't have too much planned... if there's some work I can get done it will be a bonus. The only trip related thing on my to-do list for today is to get my toenails painted. That's hard to do in January when I'm always wearing socks & slippers! I may organize some of the kids clothes for the week too.

you are right I was not planning on checking my bag, I was starting to think I would check it one way but couldn't decide which would be easier on me, I'm thinking the departure would be easier (you know heading home:sad2:) Just so I don't have to worry about it. You know what happened when I went to check my suitcase and re-organize then I made a big mess of everything because I was having packers remorse, so now my suitcase and room is a BIG MESS.

Seriously!! :lmao:

**I've already packed a power strip in light of all the phones and cameras that we'll be charging. :thumbsup2

Kathy

that is so funny cause yesterday I had a flash of forgetting my phone charger, and told my husband please make sure I pack my phone charger Wednesday night.

Sadly, one week from today, we'll all be home and really tired! But we haven't even gotten there yet!!

The weather looks nice to me, I might have to go fish some shorts out of storage like you guys suggested after all, just don't mind my bright white legs:lmao:

After a full day of doing laundry yesterday we still have more to do :confused3 my husband and I don't understand what happened. So while I'm at work he will be getting it done alone. Speaking of work I need to get going or I'll be late. didn't want to think about what I'm doing next week at this time, but 3 more nights of sleep and we'll be in Disney:cheer2::cheer2:

Oh wait I did come on to share my crazy disney dream, I was trying to get fastpasses and it wouldn't work for me, and then somehow I wasn't allowed to go on the ride:scared1:

I must have done 7 loads of laundry yesterday! :laundy: I did sheets, the mat in front of our door... everything I could wash. I call it pre-vacation nesting. ;)

I remembered another dream... I was there with my family & it was the holidays. We were in a grocery store (at Disney ) and Santa was performing. Apparently if you followed him around the grocery store & were in the right place at the right time, you could win groceries for life. I kept following him around from place to place, at one point taking off my socks because I was slipping around the floors. I kept checking with Tim to make sure I could keep going & the kids weren't getting stir crazy. I also had a GIANT balloon but it kept losing air. :confused3

I don't think I won the big prize. Oh & we also saw a family from Alex's class there... I don't know why I think it was a Disney dream because it was a grocery store & Santa but for some reason it was. Strange...

Hard to believe, but this week my dream of gathering this gang together for a moms-only trip to WDW will finally be coming true!

I wonder how many PMs, e-mails and FB messages have been exchanged between the seven of us since August.... maybe a thousand???

I can't wait to meet you all!

Kathy

Love the Santa in the grocery store dream Amy! I had some crazy dream last night but all I remember of it was that it was me and Tracy.

We're in for so snow here in NH the next two days....ugh. I'm not that woried about my flight out on Wednesday....I'm more worried that Liam won't have school tomorrow so I can't go grocery shopping during the day. :confused3

I know what you mean... They are saying less for us down here on the Seacoast (we're in the 2-5 zone), but we'll probably have sleet & freezing rain mixed in after noon! I'm hoping it doesn't effect school at all... but the boys do have their winter concert tomorrow night so let's hope they don't have to cancel that! I have appointments tomorrow so I'll probably get my MIL to come over & stay with the kids if necessary.

Have fun doing online check-in tomorrow!! :cool1:

Here's a current weather story from WKMG in Orlando:

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A tornado warning has been issued for Brevard, Orange and Osceola counties until 1:45 p.m. as strong storms continue to move through Central Florida.

Earlier Monday, a funnel cloud was spotted in Brevard County. The National Weather Service said a trained weather spotter saw the funnel cloud just after 11 a.m. near Port St. John.

A tornado watch for Brevard, Osceola and Polk counties remains in effect until 7 p.m.
