By this time, I was getting curious about the whereabouts of the other moms. Just as I opened the front door, they appeared! Everyone took a few minutes to ooh and ahh and then we beggan settling in. And then, as Julie mentioned above, DisMomAmy (Amy) soon arrived!

Hugs... laughter... chatter... etc!

We all changed clothes quickly (the temps were in the low sixties by now) and headed out to catch the bus to Jambo House. We would meet jpfamilymom (Jessica) and MickeyMom (Tracy) at The Mara. It was lunchtime and the Moms were HUNGRY!!! :hyper:

Kathy

Thanks for the great updates! So happy everyone arrived safe and sound. Also, thanks for the pics of Kidani Village (I will never in a million years ever get to stay there-so I really appreciate the pics).

Have fun and continue updating!

I am loving your TR even more than your PTR (and who thought that was possible!!) :lovestruc

Kidani studios have 2 queen beds?!? WWHHAATT?? That is way better than Jambo house. When we stayed in a studio at Jambo house last year we had a queen bed and a pull out couch for the kids. Guess next time I need to check out Kidani!!

Also, if any of you wonderful ladies (or you thread readers!) have an opinion on or experience with the F! dining package, I'd love to hear about it on my PTR (shameless plug, I know  ) But I have the F! dining package booked for my upcoming trip and I can't decide if I should keep it or not...my first experience with the F! DP was less than stellar. :headache:

Keep up the great trip updates--can't wait to hear more!

We were in a dedicated 2br in Kidani so the second bedroom has 2 queen beds. The studios have the bed/sofa combo. The only DVC I know with 2 beds in a studio is at OKW.

I will fess up, I led Heidi and Julie on a wild goose chase finding our room. For some reason I took us up to the 5th floor, we kept walking and walking and all the rooms were 75xx...I finally realized we should have been on the 3rd floor. :rolleyes1

It's so cool reading what you all were doing while I was lost in the airport :rotfl2: I'm so glad you all took plenty of Kidani pictures, because I didn't get but like two :confused3 and really want to put some in my photo scrapbook :)

This TR has been a bit difficult to keep up with... usually I try to do individual replies with quotes and it just hasn't seemed to be happening this time. :rolleyes1

So, I'd like to take a moment to thank you, our loyal readers! It's so much fun sharing our trip with you.

And as such, I'm not certain I can reply to EVERY post, although I love each of your writing styles, and am interested in every moment of your collective and individual adventures. But I DO read them all!!

LOVE that Kidanni room!! Absolutely awesome!! :cloud9:

I'm a non-posting but still very loyal reader. Definitely don't need or want any acknowledgment, but simply to let you all know that others are super excited to see new posts and stories and pictures. Thank you all!!

I love all the arrival posts and DME stories! The villa is beautiful. Did someone make the clothespins on the towels? That's really smart when you are rooming with that many people.

The door looks great!

I can't to see what you all eat. :goodvibes

Thank you... kudos go to Julie (mouse_scrapper) who is so very creative! Julie made the door decorations, as well as our bag tags, personalized clothespins, AND cute trip journals!

Hi! :wave2:

Kathy

This is the first time in a long time that I have actually signed in while on the boards. I am so happy to have found this thread. My son Zach was diagnosed on the spectrum when he was in Kindergarten. Before that he was diagnosed as having severe developmental delays. I have been reading for most of the evening, and I thank each and every one of you moms for sharing your stories with us.

:welcome: Thanks for saying hello!!

My Zach was diagnosed in kindergarten too! And had a developmental delay diagnosis prior to that. :goodvibes Glad to have you reading along with us.

And like Kathy - With the format of this TR being a bit different than most, I too am having trouble commenting on every post. But I appreciate every single reader & all of your comments. It was such a special trip & I'm so very glad to be sharing it with all of you.

The room looks amazing!! The details are just so well done and I just love all of the "extras" you guys thought to do - clothespins especially were a great idea!! :thumbsup2

I can just sense all the excitement of you Moms all meeting up for the first time!!

Looking forward to more.... popcorn::

I've loving all the Kidani details! The Lion King details are awesome! Just a mere six months until the family stays there....

Sooooo.... you may or may not have noticed that I've deleted my tentative ticker for a possible B'day weekend this October.

Not to worry, I'm not as :sad1: as you might suppose.

Ed was actually reading (gasp!) this report last night and, of course, he noticed it. (Gee, had I somehow neglected to mention my scheme??)

"You know," be began, "what I'd like to do instead..." Uh-Oh. Don't tell me he's resurrecting that let's rent an RV and drive across the country idea again!

"Let's save our points and take a really long trip... like two weeks... to Disney next summer. Then we don't have to run around so much. We can really relax!" (To Ed, it's not a true vacation unless you spend a decent amount of time relaxing, aka spending time at the pool or just hanging out at the resort.)

So, it looks like we may be doing another family trip after all. But it will have to be the dreaded Melt-Your-Butt-Off-in-August Trip and it won't be until 2012. Oh well! Two weeks is two weeks!

Oh hey! I will be there for two weeks next August -- the last two weeks. :yay: Relaxing at the pool and resort will be the focus of our trip too.
