SpectroMagic

Not that I dislike Spectro, but hearing this makes me extra happy that my kids will get to experience MSEP on our upcoming trip. It's such a classic, and the music brings back so many happy memories for me. My DH and I actually entered our wedding reception to the orchestra version of the MSEP theme song!

Oh no! I had no idea that Spectromagic would be coming back; I was under the impression it had been replaced by MSEP. So glad my kids got to see/remember MSEP! I like it much more than Spectromagic.

Good to know I'll be there before they change it back to Spectro. I'll miss it when it's gone.

~I have only seen MSEP, so I'm looking forward to seeing SpectroMagic for the first time! :goodvibes

I despise the MSEP music and think Spectromagic is a better show in every conceivable way; so yes I am happy it's coming back.

I just did the keys to the kingdom tour this summer and saw all the floats with people working on them. They told us that they are changing out all the lights and they are installing a lot of new technology and doing new paint. They also said to expect it back at WDW next spring/summer.

Can you clarify? Did you do the tour in Disneyland or WDW? Did you see the Spectro floats or MSEP floats?

Thanks! Really hoping Spectromagic is back in Florida for spring break this year!

Eric

I hope it is switched by May. Then I could see MSEP one more time in February and see Spectro in May. I have only seen Spectro one time and I don't remember it that well. But MSEP is my ringtone, so I will miss that one.

Spring please..:worship:..Spring please.:worship:...oh please... oh please..... oh please!!! pixiedust:

WE MISS SPECTROMAGIC SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!

All of the Spectro floats sit right next to the MSEP floats, backstage at the Magic Kingdom. They can be "show ready" in as little as three days. Only problem is the CM's would need to learn the choreography, which would take a little longer.

There would be no "legal issues" in bringing MSEP back to Disneyland, but they honestly don't need it. Between Fantasmic! and the fireworks, there's already enough going on there.

I guess I shouldn't keep my hopes up for february. I loved spectromagic, the song is as classic as small world to me.
It's my "disney world" music that I would regonised anywhere.

Actually, Disney World is required to return MSEP to Disneyland sometime within the next year, per the deal they made to get it over there in the first place. So, yes MSEP will return to the Disneyland Resort, which park, who knows? But it will return, there may indeed be some legal issues in brining it back to Disneyland, since they sold bulbs and tickets to the final show at Disneyland, but I am sure Disney would find a way around that.

Disneyland does need something else at night now, given the popularity of Cars Land, there are more people coming to the parks and during Fantasmic! and the Fireworks, times when the lines have typically been short for attractions are now longer than during the day, so they could use one more item to keep people busy at night.

I loved Spectro... it's much more magical and meaningful to me. Don't really care much about MSEP.

I prefer the MSEP over Spectro float-wise, but have the soundtracks to both on my MP3 and think that they're beautiful.

I would like to see the MSEP one more time, but I wouldn't mind having Spectro come back. As long as the Spectromen are gone. Yeesh, they're creepy!

I love the electrical parade, but I'm a LA native and it brings back childhood memories. I was so excited to see it but it's proving difficult with the MVMCP schedule in Dec. I'd really love for my kids to see what I grew up with. Spectro is ok, but it's not the classic that MSEP is!

I wonder if one of the Limited Time Magic events is a special one week run (let's say Easter week for pure speculation) where they run both parades as they transition to the return of Spectromagic. A thank you to both Spectromagic and MSEP fans. I've only seen MSEP and really enjoyed it. I hope to see Spectromagic in February (doubtful I know).

I'm hoping to see MSEP in February, wonder if it'll be Spectromagic when return in March 2015 then?

I personally prefer MSEP but it might be because we've seen Spectro so often. We'll probably watch Spectro again however parade time is also a great time to get on rides.
