I heard on another forum that SpectroMagic is returning to the magic kingdom in spring 2013! I don't know about anyone else but my family and i are excited! Are you?

I would like to get in a little more Main Street Electrical Parade before that happens but yes, I am excited. I do love Spectro!

I don't think they can do that, as it is supposed to return out here to California next year. Rumor has it that it will be returning to Disneyland and not DCA, which in some ways would be nice, but I can see some legal issues from when it was "glowing away forever". But I am sure Disney will find away to overcome that if need be.

Remember it was only on loan to WDW and they have already kept it longer than they were supposed to.

I've only seen Spectro, and that was 3 years ago. Never seen MSEP... but will see it for the first time in 3 weeks!

I have read that the ONLY thing that is the same is that they are both light parades.

Its the music and the floats which is about everything for a parade.

If you mean they had some sort of statement that said MSEP or Scetro was leaving DLR or WDW forever, I don't that's a legally binding contract so I think they will be OK.

I would rather they keep the electrical parade for me it is so much prettier than spectro. I am disappointed that spectro is coming back

I've always liked Main Street Electrical more. It's classic.

That being said, I do kind of miss Spectro and would like to see it again.

I think Main Street Electrical should make a "homecoming" to Disneyland. I would be okay with that.... For now, lol!

Yes, it is important to remember that MSEP was only on loan to WDW and they kept it longer than they were supposed to initially.

Well, my evenings just opened up. My whole family dislikes Spectro. We find the music slow and boring and do not like the floats as much as MSEP. So, we will hit the rides!

I am really glad that I am going to get to see MSEP with my mom this December before it goes away! I grew up in Anaheim and just the sound of the MSEP fanfare is enough to bring a HUGE smile to my face. I'd be interested to see Spectro though - I haven't seen it.

Yay! I love Spectro! The colors seem brighter to me for some reason. Though the music from MSEP is classic!

For us is the complete opposite! We really really hope Spectro makes a comeback, we never cared for the electrical parade.

we are a MSEP family. however, if they do bring Spectro back, i hope they make some changes to it. i really REALLY hope they get rid of the creepy clown guys.

I just did the keys to the kingdom tour this summer and saw all the floats with people working on them. They told us that they are changing out all the lights and they are installing a lot of new technology and doing new paint. They also said to expect it back at WDW next spring/summer.
