Man, do they know how to market Mickey or what! The game was fun and even the coupon is a promotional piece. Gotta love those guys!

I bought Pal Mickey in July at The World of Disney and got my 10% discount through AAA. I then walked over to Once upon a toy and asked for the pin and handed over my certificate.

The CM looked a bit puzzled and started looking around for it and finally found the pin. Quite a nice one I must say. I have not noticed anything special form the old one as far as what he says. My sister had the older one and they seemed to say pretty much the same stuff.

I love my Pal, he cheers me up at home with a corny joke when I miss WDW too much.

I saw the new Pal Mickey Advertised in The Laughing Place magazine

The special pin is a gold ear silhouette that attaches to Mickey's foot. It's advertised as a seperate purchase from the doll.

The new Mickeys also have changeable clothing-whereas the originals (I assume) could not be redressed.

I can check my magazine when I go home for lunch if you like----

That's not the special pin that you get, the one you are talking (I think) is actually permenantly attached to his right hand. There is also a seperate light up medallion that interacts with Pal Mickey with a little light show, but that is not the free pin you get with the certificate. You have to get Pal Mickey from one of two locations to get the pin, I got mine on Main Street in May. The certificate was pretty new then and they had to search around a bit to find the pins. It expires sept *2006*, the game expires 2005. HTH!

I see now said the blind man

I'm glad I waited to buy one.

The new one has his tux jacket on and a gold medallion attached to his hand.

The seperate medallion (I thought this coupon was for) is like the spectro light up pins where they set each other off (right? )

and the pin, which I now have a picture of to take with me ( ) is my special freebie with coupon - [size=-2] redeemable thru Sept 2006, actual coupon available online thru Sept 2005. [/size]

My DS5 made me get the medallion thing, which is a little lame, but he likes the lights. It sparks up around different points in MK, not sure about the other parks, probably does too.

Again the pin is great, really really nice.

They no longer rent them. Bummer I know, but he is worth every penny, beleive me.

It's sold pretty much everywhere that the Pal Mickey is. I'm fairly sure I got mine at the shop at The Wilderness Lodge.
