Special Birthday Celebrations?

My youngest daughter will turn 8 the day after we return from Disney. We normally do pretty big parties which are not necessarily super expensive, but are a lot of work for me. Since her birthday is November 20 (Thanksgiving week) I really don't want to do a party this year. I think she will be happy to skip a big party (we will still do something small on her birthday) if we celebrate it somehow at Disney. I have not been able to get reservations to CRT and we have already done both that and BBB. Any other ideas?

I don't mind spending a little extra money. We have a day planned in Disney Springs, so that's an option too. She adored the Lefty Store (she's our only lefty) so I may let her do some shopping there. I know we are at Disney and that's enough, but I want to mark her special day somehow.

Thanks!

You could have one of the birthday princess packs in your room for when you arrive. There's the Perfectly Princess tea party too. I've never done either, just trying to think of princessy, magical stuff.

Also, what is the lefty store? My daughter is also a lefty and I've never seen it when I've been to Disney Springs.

Thanks, I'll look into those. The Lefty store was really just a kiosk outside, but she loved it. The guy told her sisters they would have to wait outside and couldn't touch anything, lol. I hope it's still there.

Have you looked into Cirque du Soleil? My friends took their daughter there for her 8th birthday in November and she looooved it

On my DD's 13th bday, we took an Illuminations Celebration Cruise. The boat was decorated with streamers, banner, etc. & I'd pre-ordered a bday cake which was delivered to the boat. After we docked in Epcot the crew of two castmembers brought out the cake, started singing Happy Birthday, and got the boats parked next to us to join in the singing. It was a wonderful night!! :cake:

Another time on DD's bday, she got a manicure at our resort's (BC) salon.

I hope your DD has a wonderful trip!
