Hi All. Thanks for the welcome aboard. This forum has been fantastic for gathering information about Disney cruises. I can't wait to meet you all onboard!

We have the early seating. I think it will work better for the kids than late seating.

We have not told my DD(2) about the cruise yet - she would drive us crazy for the next month! She is going to have a blast! I am sure we all will.

We have told our DD (2). We watched the DCL DVD and told her we are going on that. Now she keeps saying Micky Boat, Go Micky Boat. This morning when she said it I told her "just 25 more days" to which she replied "Oooookaaay" Its just so great that she is so into Micky now. We got her a Micky Mouse Clubhouse pillow at the Disney Store ($2.99) and she won't go to sleep with out it now.

It looks like there are going to be quite a few 2-3YO on the cruise. That should be great from them.

Hi! I finished my FE this week----it sure does look "home-made" not a bad first-ever sewing project----it will just have to "do" Also, I'm not sure how big of a deal it is if it is wider than 9 inches? After adding the wooden hanger and the fancy endcaps it is almost 11 inches long---can anyone tell me if this is OK?

I also need to find out how to ship a box to our cabin----the over 300 leis sure take up a lot of room in our suitcase and if I can ship them ahead that would be great! So I am asking the collective wisdom on this DIS thread if you can tell me what I need to write on the box and what address I can use----how soon/late should it be mailed and if it really will be delivered since we are leaving on a holiday (Labor Day).

I'd also appreciate any advice about what to do on the Sunday before this Magical cruise---we're staying in Savannah on Saturday night (we are driving down from Maryland) and I really don't want to go all the way into Orlando on Labor Day Weekend---so has anyone "done" Daytona, St. Augustine, or the Kennedy Space Center? Any other "local" attractions worth seeing?

Virginia's list still is in the getting it together stages, look for many updates and corrections later this week when she has time to get it all together.

As stated it is still a Work in progress..
as you can imagine with many cabins being assigned this week!

Oh, a little Mouse told me that documents are being Prepared for mailing!


Also the cut off date for getting on the Roster and FE list will be AUGUST 21, 2008..
We need to pack and ready ourselves for a departure for FLA,
This is basically a week before we leave... and 11 days before the Cruise..

There are a few extra lanyards, for the late Person, who may find this thread, after the CO date..
(Name badges are printed - just will have to write in Dis name and first name, with sharpie..)

Virginia and I, are working out how to inform others that may want to find late comers, for FE Gift delivery.

Please look at the Roster, As Virginia / ulittletinker is taking info from the roster - compiling from there...
I do go a little GOOFY sometimes and or mis understand post and or PM's.
please make sure the info I have is correct! Yes we share info...in case you r wondering..

We did the Space Center the day before the first Member cruise. The center was great as well as the museum.

That day was a tough one for everyone though, as it was the day the shuttle exploded. We were in the parking lot waiting for it to fly over head and land. The excitement was electrifying. I had goosebumps just waiting in anticipation. When the news came out of the tragedy, the silence was deafening. We were all numb with shock.

I got my docs!​

My TA had called DCL and asked them if they would send both my docs for the PC cruise and for this one at the same time, to arrive before Aug. 9, when we leave for California. Both sets arrived today! Hopefully they are working on everyone's and will have them soon . . .

One month from today, people, one month from day we wet sail. WooHoo, my family is really getting excited, as I am sure everyone else is, too It will be here before you know it.


We go to WDW so much that we don't get as excited when another trip rolls around, but this will be a new Disney experience and we are so excited.

I haven't said thank you yet to all those that have organized events, been keeping lists and staying on top of things. I know this is a big job, one I wouldn't have the patience for, and I want you folks to know how much it is appreciated. I hope it has been as much fun as it has been work for you all. Can you hear me applauding and whistling for you guys?

Just got back from purchasing my float for CC!!! I got one of those spring folding ones so it would fit in my suitcase and I could reuse it on our next trip!

My little guy (pirate king age 10) was ill today. He missed school (his elementary is a year round that tracks off in September), and actually nearly had his appendix out last night!!!! It isn't his appendix (according to a CT !!).
He is home with a tender tummy and bummed out cuz today was to be "60s day" at school. He was planning to wear tie dye and have a peace symbol painted on his face! Poor guy.
Anyway, I decided to cheer him up with a cruise preparty. We are watching his favorite disney films in marathon succession (pirates of course). DD and I picked up the necessary craft supplies to make our FE gifts. Thats the festivities for tonight. Tomorrow we are tie dying tees and daddy found a bunch of islandy music to play during the activity (bob marley, beach boys etc quite a mix actually. he even has an old version of Little Grass Shack!).

We are all getting so excited!!!!!!

Oh and the tummy thing is suspected to be just a real nasty virus he picked up (his immune system has always been a little iffy).

Okay. Its almost 10:30 and the little pirate is asleep on the couch (in his Jack Sparrow costume, I might add). WE got 1/2 way through Dead Man's Chest before he pooped out. I think I'll just save World's End for tomorrow, because he's gonna want to watch what he "missed" in the morning whether I've watched tonight or not.
DD and I (actually older DS got in on the act too, and he usually shuns arts & crafts) finished 80 of our FE crafties. I left the project all set up and out to finish on the morrow.
