Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Bob, if I make another batch of Lemon Blossoms, maybe I'll try to get them to your place! Picture is going in the mail on Monday! (Yes... FINALLY!!!)

Lucky too to live so close to Janis & Ron.
This is us after monday....

Wind picked up and gusts at 25 mph so no out door light installing, we spent a couple of hours getting them ready to go up, i.e. replacing burned out lights, untangeling etc etc , marking where they go, I hope the Space Shuttle folks appreciate hte effort , cause they can be seen from space.

How kewl is that? This evening will be prime time for us for a shuttle flyover. 4 minutes duration starting WSW.
Will start the christmas decorations today. They won't be seen from space.

Bob...Thanksgiving was last month!!!!! well for us Canadians it was, eh!!!!

........I can get back to my scrapbook since I now have all the necessary pictures to finish my 5 Night Cruise scrapbook...thanks Bob!!!!!

It was a great day yesterday. A bit cold and a bit windy, but...
Purdue won it's football game yesterday. They got the bucket back.

Scott, our coach has retired. Coach Tiller and his wife are moving to Buffalo, Wyoming.
Says the fans can come visit them.
Now we have two places to visit.

Yes the three days at work and 4 days off will be nice, gotr some lights up and the wind picked up 40 MPH, inside made a crock poy of veggie beef soup and catching up here and there.

Sadly...I will be in the office on Thursday and Friday...I will think of you guys on Thursday eating your turkey and watching football and then on Friday I will think of all of you braving the "Black Friday" sales....Mom and I have all our Christmas shopping done Mom's present was easy....she's getting a trip to WDW and a DCL cruise in May!!!!!!!

just watched it go over. good time to watch. quite bright.
covered the sky in just less than 4 minutes.
since it will be back in approximately 1 1/2 hours, i assume that it is going 18000 mph.

got decorations up today. no lights for them to see. yet.

Yippee!!!! The tree is decorated and the house is now Christmas-ized

You really can't see the detail but our tree skirt is red velvet with gold embroidered poinsettias on it.

Good Morning cruisers – catching up after the weekend -

We spent part of the weekend putting up some of our icicle lights – we surround the house with them. It is very difficult to put them up in wind, and it seemed like the wind picked up each day just as we got the ladders out! But we did manage a few strands. Hopefully it will be calm this weekend and we can get the rest of them up.

Bob, what Scott did not say is that "just up the road a piece" means several hours here in Wyoming

Ours is up but no decorations yet. Gifts are all over the Living Room. We're planning Thanksgiving table decorations, and a quick trip to WDW in early December. There are NOT enough hours in the day!!!

Work was really the PITS today (am I dating myself with that comment? ). People never cease to amaze me. No matter what the facts really are, they can twist them into looking like something else. It felt so good to have a nice home to come to afte work was done for the day!!!

No outside lights for us yet... hopefully soon!

Will get ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Going to our Aunt's house to set up tables, chairs, etc. A lot of work, but the family is together!

Good Morning Cruisers! Was too busy to make it to the boards yesterday – but got all my shopping for Thanksgiving out of the way!

Elaine - I saw 2 I think!

Georgie - that today will be better!

We have been working on the icicle lights in the evenings, last evening was calm and we managed to get up several strands – hopefully tonight will be calm also so we can get a couple more up. That should leave only one or 2 left for the weekend, and the forecast is not great for the weekend – it is supposed to get cold and some snow. The wind is the hardest when up on a ladder, and holding long strings of lights, the static decorations will be easier to put up in the wind!

Weather has been really nice all week!

Well, the pumpkin pie is in the oven. The turkey is next. It will be a busy morning here.

Mike, if you are out there, here's the menu....

• PUMPKIN PIE with lots of cool whip!

I think that will be enough.
