Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Peter, glad to hear you are feeling a little better.

Sorry to hear about everyone's cold weather. We have had a weekend of 90+ degree weather. It is hard to get into the holiday spirit in shorts and a tank top.

I mentioned that we are vacationing in Tahiti this January. I now have a potential opportunity to work in Bora Bora in December. All of those years in Madame Shannon's French class are finally about to pay off. Please send good thoughts that my boss will choose me to go. Tahiti is my life long dream trip.

Saw this today about some changes to the theaters on the Magic and Wonder. Sounds kewl! Wish I were going on a cruise next year.

3-D movies on ships

Hey...Janis...I can let you know what they are like in 179 days....after we get off our May cruise!!!!!!!

Only 172 days 'til another MAGICal cruise!!!!!!!

Hi Lesley...I know what you mean about it being hard to get into the holiday spirit when it's warm out....being at WDW for the past 2 Christmases we were in shorts and tank tops...sadly..this year we'll be in parkas at home!!!!!

I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you....sound like both an exciting trip and a doubly (is that such a word?) exciting job opportunity!!!!!!

I was given a Mickey Mouse/Disney trivia contest today....out of the 20 questions...I only got 2 wrong...not bad but my co-workers now know just how Disney obsessed I am!!!! I couldn't believe they were surprised that I got so many right!!!:rotfl2:

Emma is 3, wow time files.

well...she doesn't "technically" turn 3 until February 16

Good Morning cruisers!

Well, I survived my long walk! It was actually 2 walks, one loop of 11 miles with the dogs, then a short stop at home to use bathroom, drop off tired dogs, eat a Kashi bar, and refill my water bottle, then out for a 7 mile loop. The actual milage was 18.53 miles, pace was 16:35 – not fast enough to beat the sweepers, but I was not pushing the speed, just walking at a comfortable pace. I almost feel ready for the Marathon in Jan.

We have put up a bird feeder next to the bird bath, and the finches are just flocking to it, it is right outside the window next to the computer, so I get to watch the birds while trying to keep up on the boards! The only problem is that I cannot make any sudden moves, or all the birds spook and fly off. I am literally no more than 4 feet from the bird feeder!

Lesley - good luck and pixiedust: to you!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Cruisers!

It has turned cold here, after mid 60’s yesterday, high today will be 30 degrees, with freezing fog, freezing drizzle and snow – sounds beautiful doesn’t it?:scared1:

Have a great day everyone!

Hi all!

We had snow showers here overnight and woke up to a postcard picture. But it's gone now, although the temps are in the 30s. Brrrrr!:cold: I'm not ready for this!

Good Morning All.
Hope everyone is getting in the holiday spirit. Thanksgiving that is.
17 degrees here this morning. -7 for you celsius folks. (Am I the only one that still thinks centigrade?)
Too cold for dog walk. Tomorrow.

Football day today. With the hated Indiana Hoosiers.
This is the biggest game of the year. (despite the fact Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan fans think that their game with us is bigger for us).
Cold and windy. I've been to colder ones. Sat thru freezing rain once about 20 years ago.:cold: Too old to do that again.:sad2:

We know some Dis-friends that cheated on the mouse and sailed on the Celebrity Solstice yesterday. I know that they have having a great time. Wish we were there.

Everyone have a great day and a great weekend. :wave2:

Good Morning folks! Nice day here today, we will be putting up outside Christmas lights, as I am not sure what Thanksgiving weekend will bring!

Have a great day!

Good Morning All.....

But we have the wind. Right at freezing right now.
My walk with Belle was quite cold. We both need that walk.

Elaine, what pictures did you need?
Can't believe that the PC scrapbook is not done.
Bet Georgie and Leslie have theirs done.:rolleyes1

Have a great day, you'all.

Nope... not yet. I'm waiting for pictures from Elaine! :lmao:

It has turned COLD here and WINDY. The chill factor makes it not so nice outside. We had wanted to begin our outside lights, but not today.

Peter, thanks for your update, hoping each day brings a bit of improvement for you.Thanksgiving... ALMOST here! YUM!!!

Janis, see you and Ron tonight! Bundle Up!!!

Bob, if I make another batch of Lemon Blossoms, maybe I'll try to get them to your place! Picture is going in the mail on Monday! (Yes... FINALLY!!!) :goodvibes

Wind picked up and gusts at 25 mph so no out door light installing, we spent a couple of hours getting them ready to go up, i.e. replacing burned out lights, untangeling etc etc , marking where they go, I hope the Space Shuttle folks appreciate hte effort , cause they can be seen from space.

Good Morning All.

Bob...Thanksgiving was last month!!!!! :lmao: well for us Canadians it was, eh!!!!

Mom and are getting into the Christmas spirit early this year thanks to Lowes!!!! They had a 6.5 foot pre-lit artifical Christmas tree on this week for $88...figured it was time to retire the 20 year old 7.5 foot un-lit tree!!!!

and everyone knows you can't put old decorations on a new tree....so we bought all new decorations.....our tree is going to be gold and red this time around....with a few hidden Mickey's....we hope to have the decorations on the tree this weekend.

Everyone have a great day and a great weekend. :wave2:

It's pretty cold here too....we had a cold advisory last night because the temperature dipped to a frigid -14ºC (7ºF). Although it is still cold today...it was "supposed" to be sunny so I took my car through the car wash while we were "out and about" this morning to get some of the road salt off (we had a bit of snow the other day and the city went a little overboard with the road salt) and I just looked out and it snowing....so much for a clean car!!!!

so now once the tree is decorated and the rest of the house is "Christmas-ized"...I can get back to my scrapbook since I now have all the necessary pictures to finish my 5 Night Cruise scrapbook...thanks Bob!!!!!

It was a bit windy here too, and the coldest it's been here yet (we can't beat your temps though). We met Janis and Ron for dinner at Peddler's Village. I'll bet they can see those lights from space too. WOW! Was that place dressed in lights. It was a beautiful sight, and just wonderful to relax for a few hours, enjoy good food in a beautiful setting and drink in the joy friendship brings.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone. We've got to go out and buy our fixings for Thanksgiving!

E + M Enjoy decorating your new tree!!!

Wind is calm right now and run and breakfast is over, so we better get after it.
