Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

The hold up was that they were short a couple of Customs agents.

...

My DH was convinced that they were going through everyone's bags, because the ship had docked in Cartehena (sp?). He says they expect people to bring back drugs from Colombia :lmao: .

Anyone heard when they will start the booking for the new ships? I really want to do an Alaskan cruise, but I love DCL so if it will be in the next 3 or 4 years I will just wait for Disney to do it.

Hello All!

What a GREAT Cruise! While we did get to meet a LOT of new faces, there are still sooo many of you guys we have not met. I kept watching for lanyards and had fun meeting everyone all over the ship.

Will past more later, but am at work, and trying to get back into it :lmao:

Safe travels to those leaving today!

We, too, arrived home last night. After getting a bite to eat at DIA (Frontier ran out of the $6 sandwiches on the flight...we were starving!!) and getting a jump for our 4Runner at the airport parking  , we were finally on our way home. We too, spent Sunday and Monday at the parks. We had little waits, except for Midway Mania, my new favorite ride!!! I have to get the doggies from the pet hotel, and head into work for a half day:sad2:

It always takes me a few days to get back to normal after a cruise....I am still rocking and getting a bit sick feeling from time to time, but should be as good as new in a day or two.

Again, much thanks to all for the great time and FE gifts!

Thank you to everyone for the FE gifts. They were great. We arrived home last night around 10:30 and back to work today. It was wonderful to meet so many of you. Laxmom and Laxdad - thank you for the wonderful conversation in the laundry room and for helping to fold the clothes left in the dryer by someone else so I could use it. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to cruising with some of you again.

I got home Saturday night without any delays in Orlando or Atlanta. I actually slept most of the flight home from Atlanta to Salt Lake. Today is my first day back on the computer and getting caught up on everything.

I just wanted to say Thank you to everyone for making it such a wonderful trip for me, especially my dinner mates!! As soon as I get my pictures organized I will post a couple of them, especially the ones from scrapbooking since I can't remember everyone's name and their dis name too!

Have a Good Afternoon getting adjusted back into the "Real" world! ;)

Wow.
Good evening. What a difference a week can make.
A week ago, I was sitting with a bunch of friends, on the way to Castaway Cay, eating dinner at AP.
Tonight, I get awaken by a lightening storm and four beagle paws on my chest.
It was a long but good day. Finally made it home and had a welcome home party at the park. :dogdance:
But "There are jobs and chores and questions and plates I need to twirl", so life goes on.

We are at AKV with Bob and Lee next door, really, lol
ScottAKVpost.jpg

What a pleasant surprise that was.
We were watching the animals and all of a sudden we hear a familiar voice.
How kewl was that?
We also met up with Linda and Terry(DzneLin & Tigrrtum) at Boma sunday evening along with Cheryl & Bob(Webray) saturday.
Life is good.

We are back home, I was up early today and an now waiting for time to go and pick up the dogs - the house is soooooo quiet without them!

I also want to thank everyone for the great fish extender gifts we got!!! Some of you are very creative!!! We are sorry that we missed meeting so many of you - it seems that our paths just did not cross. We are happy that we meet as many of you as we did, and it was great to see "old" friends! Thanks to Tracy and Bill and Peter and Jenn for the wine and cheese party, Thanks to Linda for the scrapbooking session!

It was a great cruise! Andy - great video of the pool - we were in it later when they finally opened it up - not as much fun as the Repo to the Med., but it was still fun!

WDW was surprisingly uncrowded - but VERY hot! We did have a good time there also.

OK, time to go and get the dogs!

A quick note...

I came home with several extra FE Gifts. If I skipped your cabin by mistake, or if you would like extra, please send me a PM with your address and I will send it to you.

The laminated luggage tags had the 5 night cruise itinerary on one side and Mickey + Minnie on the other.

Just let me know... Thanks!
Georgie

I'd also like to thank everybody who worked so hard to make this cruise so memorable. To say that we had no clue would be an understatement!!

Thank you everybody!!!
Ginny & Andy

We made it home about 11:45 pm on Sunday night. I wanted to thank all of the creative people for the fish extender gifts. We loved everything but not much of the candy made it back to California. ;)

I am not sure what happened to DH - maybe a combination of his surprise verandah, talking to so many of you and a great time spent with family; he wants to go on the possible Baltic cruises in the summer of 2010. He even accessed Disneycruise.com (a first) and sent me an email this morning. It was 5.5 years between Disney cruises last time.

I have a few pictures to share:

Hey Ya All:

Made it to Disneyland half of the country in one piece, altho we hit a MAJOR airpocket and took a BIG drop en route.

Sorry we saw so few of you on the trip! Next time we make sure we print the Diz activities off of the threads, we never found a DIZ Navagator. Thanks for the fantastic Fish Extender gifts everyone!! Yeah, that chocolate was the magic vanishing variety, wasn't it:rotfl: :rotfl: Wonderful seeing Bob and Lee and Scott and Lyn on the WDW land side of the trip after the cruise. I was only five folks away from the door to the library at the Adventurers Club when they it closed up. I will miss you Fingers!!:(

Now that the dust has settled or should I say sand (from unpacking my beach stuff), I wanted to express how great this trip was for me due to the great people we met from the Dis. Everywhere we went my son was looking for "the yellow lanyard friends"! "Mom there's a yellow friend", he would say after hitting me to activate my ears!;) :goodvibes (poohluvs2u)

I was so eager and excited to have 2 days at CC prior to the cruise-yet was not disapponted to have missed the island on that last day. Of course I would always love to go to CC but going to Palo with many of you was a blast, as well as , spending time w/ Sharon beating the men in the "feud", the wine and cheese party(thanks again to Tracy and Pete and Jen), trying to line dance, and dining with some great people (ED and Karen), even adopting out my son to Tink 33 for a day at Atlantis, discovering fun things in the FE's, and just talking to new friends (Natasha, Janis). Thanks to Ken and Chrisie for looking out for me! I felt like you adopted ME!

So, Thank you ALL for making a great cruise even better.

Where to next?;)
Love
Noreen

Now that I finally have a chance to get back on the DIS boards, I wanted to thank everyone! The Lanyards were awesome, in fact I am wearing it now with my work id attached.
The Wine and cheese meet in Tracy&Bill and Peter&Jen's room was a great time:goodvibes , and it was so nice to meet so many of you. Did Scott open every bottle of wine? :lmao:
My family and I had a fantastic time, and my son, too, was always looking in the FE to see if there were any more presents. He loves is Pirates gun!

It was such an amazing thing to strike up conversations with anyone wearing a yellow lanyard; everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Of course it was funny how we all stared at each others lanyards first to see who we were talking too.

Thank you again everyone for making this trip so extra special! Until we meet again!

I so agree! It was funny to watch people checking out your lanyard!

Collegeman loved his pirate gun too! He even traded with Laxlad because his was different and more piratey! Still a big kid at heart!

Except, A couple and they got enjoyed the next night when we had Palo delivered to the room for a party of 8, Tracy's family & us!

Where to next, we are headed to the Baltic or so it looks like from the thread on the main board, called Magic 2010 on page 22 ;)

oh and there where 19 empty bottles.. and about 100 dirty glasses.
LOL

Will post the photo's of Bill and I cleaning the Roy before the party, couple of spots that Jenn would not allow to be seen, even if DCL Would... :scared1: :3dglasses

However the Room Ninja ( Stewart ) did a great clean up job after the party!!

Allen and I got back earlier this week from this fantastic cruise. I would have posted earlier but our teen sons had downloaded some gameware while we were gone that screwed up my laptop bigtime. :surfweb: It is still not quite right but I can now use it for most things that I need too.

Thanks to all of you that dropped off FE gifts to our room (6594). It was so much fun to come back to the cabin and see all the goodies. I still wonder how you all did it without us seeing any of you!:worship: I tried to be stealth when delivering ours but I was caught by a few of you. :sad1: I'm also in awe of the creativity some of you used in crafting your FE gifts. We certainly had many talented people aboard!!

On this cruise there were several people that made our vacation very special and I'd like to give them our thanks.

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

To Tracy & Bill it was great to see you again and Peter & Jenn it was great to meet and get to know you. Thanks for hosting the Wine & Cheese meet. Allen & I had a wonderful time at the meet and want to thank you for including us.

Thanks to Peter and all those involved with supplying the lanyards. We loved them and mine is still hanging up in my living room. We'll cherish them.:)

Thanks to Ken & Christie (DopeyLover54) for hosting the pre-Dis Meet at OKW. We were glad we able to come and meet some of you before the cruise.

Thanks to our dining tablemates Tim & Lesley (Tink33) and later in the week, Becca & Joey (Niftysqrt),(when our servers moved your table to ours so you could join us), for making our cruise more enjoyable with your friendship. By the way Lesley, our teen sons were just as disappointed as I thought they'd be for not being able to be on our cruise after they saw the picture of all of us in Lumiere's and seeing your daughter, Lily.:rotfl:

And Very Special Thanks to (Nezy)Noreen's DH for lending her out for some needed girltime.:) Noreen, thanks so much for pal-ing around with me those times when Allen really needed his "STINKIN SLEEP" - LOL and I was still wide awake. We had so much fun and I won't forget the friendship we formed on this trip!!

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:
