Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

It might make it a zero dip. We might end up with a 5 day cruise to no where.

Works for me, meeting old and new friends will be KEWL!!!:thumbsup2

Waiting to print out boarding passes

:bday: Tracy

I am still here and won't be leaving until Sunday.

I figure if I can survive 25 - 30 teenagers at my DS's birthday party Friday night, I can survive any storm out there. ;)

The excitement is building in my home. Can't wait until Monday.

For those of us that haven't left yet (which doesn't seem like a whole lot), here is the number of the day:

We haven't left yet. We leave Saturday in the am to drive to South Carolina and get to Cocoa Beach Sunday afternoon. Getting to excited to sleep!

We will be flying out Sunday morning and staying at the Sports Sunday night. Still watching Gustav and hoping he goes away! Have done about all I can do to prepare the kids for it. Now to worry about TS #8.....:sad2:

Isnt cruising fun!!! :rotfl:

See ya'll soon!!

We leave Sunday am too, but we're staying at the AKV (our first time there).

I don't really care where we go (although I'd be soooooo sorry to miss CC), I just hope everyone is safe and healthy!

Happy B'day to Tracy (it's scary to think we've been married only 5 years less than you've been around  ). But cruising? What a way to have a birthday!!!

Hubby: you need to google something
Me: What?
Hubby: Tropical Storm Hana
Me: I know, I know, already saw it on the DIS
Hubby: O.K.
Me: So we are going to get Gustav from one side and Hana from the other and we are going to go straight up in the air and come down like the ship at Typhoon Lagoon. :scared1:

It would be sad if we don't step foot on Castaway Cay, but if they added a sea day maybe they'd add another Palo Brunch also? That would be great for those of us that didn't get brunch reservations.

I really have my fingers crossed so tight that it turns away! For us, we really do care where we go since Atlantis is my son's 8th birthday present and he has been looking so forward to it- he's just dying to get on all those waterslides! He will be so sad to miss it... as will I. I just hope and pray!

Something ironic that I had to share... just looking at my list of things to bring and on it is "Shovels and pails from Hurricane Hanna's" which is the restaurant at the Yacht/Beach Club. This storm will be Hurricane Hanna. Thought my Disney friends here would appreciate that... just a little hurricane humor for ya!

Happy Birthday, Tracy!! See you soon!

Okay, just so I can prepare emotionally and also help prepare my daughter, do you all think it's likely that we will not get to Castaway Cay? I really can't tell the timeline of this tropical storm hanna. I just don't want my DD to be disappointed. What would Disney do if we cannot dock? Other ports? Thanks.

I think we might make Tuesday at Castaway Cay but I really think Nassau and the second trip to Castaway Cay are in jeopardy.

Boarding passes are printed and we are off to DEN Zoo.

Where ever ya go ya take the weather with ya. (Parrot Heads will get that one)

I have great faith, trust, and pixiedust: that DCL will make sure we have a great cruise.

Well, we know this will turn out to be a great cruise no matter what happens with TS Hanna...but, we really hope we make it to CC since we are already 0 for 1 on Disney cruises for actually setting foot on CC. In Feb 05, we were on a 7-day Eastern cruise that couldn't make it into CC due to tidal problems (it was an otherwise pretty day). The Captain made a concerted effort very early in the morning to get into CC, and then another solid attempt about 45 min later. I seem to recall that there were two more attempts to get into CC later in the morning after more of us were awake, but those seemed to be mainly for show since it was obvious the tides were not going to cooperate. Nonetheless, DCL put on a great day at sea...and we were amazed at how quickly they had new Navigators out to everyone with new events scheduled to fill up the day.

We hope we aren't bringing our bad luck on this trip! :lmao: Looking forward to seeing everyone onboard.:thumbsup2

Ok, I think I am having a blonde moment! Help me, guys!!

I just checked the DCL website to see the location of CC and it says we are at CC on Tuesday and Friday, Nassau Wednesday and at Sea on Thursday. I thought we were at sea on Friday. Am I losing it or did it change? My guess is I am losing it. No, it is already lost!!!;)

If it ever changed, it changed a long time ago, because we have had CC for Friday as long as I can remember.
