Somehow even though I read allears religiously I failed to stop and smell the roses on our first cruise - LOL. I will definitely be doing that this time around. We hardly took any pics at all. Maybe 100 or so. I know you took a lot.

a lot is an understatement. :rotfl2:

I'm definately looking forward to relaxing more this time around. Since the last cruise was my first I didn't want to miss a single thing and I felt like I was always running around like a chicken with no head trying to make sure I saw everything. This time I feel I've seen most of it and can just relax and enjoy myself. :goodvibes

yes I assumed the price probably did not get lowered even if you are fewer days onboard (for the Rainforest). Is the price the same on the Wonder?

I enjoyed our robes, memory box, pic, Palo etc. Our picture frame glass broke on the way home - boo hoo. We had to buy another duffle bag to hold all the stuff we got.

We didn't recieve a memory box, was that part of REAS? :confused3

I am originally from Massachusetts. Congrats to Jenn and Tracy on the Roy Suite!:thumbsup2

Count 2 more in (maybe 4). Hello from the frigid cold IOWA! I hope this doesn't get us off to an unpopular start, but we are the occupants of the SPH cabin 5520. (No tomatoes, please!). We've actually had the room before on a previous DCL cruise and I was able to snag it late last night. Don't know why winotracy would give up this room for THE ROY SUITE !!!! LOL. Anyway, I'm Lacy, 50 and in management at a large corporation and am bringing DH Terry 46 who's self-employed home remodeling. Our 21 and 19 year old girl and boy will not be joining us - they'll be at school. We're also booked on the Westbound Panama Canal.

Our friends may be booking later tonight and I'll get them added to this great list/thread. Thanks so much to all of you for getting this going!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to getting to know ya all before the cruise - and am hoping for an invite to the ROY SUITE wine/cheese party (hint, hint :) :) )

Where in Mass?
Plymouth. Home of the Pilgrims and a wicked "huge" Plymouth Rock. ;) My Dad still lives there.
(I had to put the wicked in to make up for all of the y'alls I have been saying in Texas. DH says I have more of a Southern accent than him and he was born here!:rotfl2: )

Welcome!! I feel like I already know you ;)

Of course you're invited for the party, but only if I get to see the SPH! So who's organizing the cabin tours :rotfl2:

I'll have to check with my roommates to make sure but I don't see why not! :thumbsup2 Especially if you bring a birthday drink

I had 5520 booked on February 2 until last night when I switched it to the Roy. I guess someone snatched it up right away!

Tracy

:thumbsup2
Tracy, sounds like a plan and looks like a party!party: .

not getting the vacation insurance on this cruise? I am wondering if it is necessary. I know it's hurricane season but have been told they will go somewhere to avoid any bad weather...

the insurance covers medical evacuation and other things that your regular health insurance would give very little coverage for. I don't get travel insurance for any other trips but I did for our cruise. For a healthy family the coverage is not very expensive.

ooohhh I would love to see the SPH also. One of our friends had one on our last cruise but I never thought to ask for a tour.

I was hoping for one of those secret verandah cabins on Deck 5 but I guess those get snapped up right away also.

I've got connecting category 9s if anyone wants to go "slumming" down on deck 2! :lmao: :rotfl2:
(I do happen to like the location  ;) :teeth: )

That's OK, Hazel and I will be in a cat. 11, that's all I could afford after paying for the August 15 day repo. :rolleyes1

It's just going to be the two of us, so we'll do just fine. :goodvibes

We have cabin 7063. :)

No, I moved here with my parents, started working, met Sam, got married and had our first child all by the time I was 21. :scared1:

yikes is right!!!! LOL. are your folks still there?

I have a cousin who works at Paris. His daughter is teaching now in Vegas.

Yes, but you're still UP on deck 7. ;)

BTW, I haven't mentioned what an EXCELLENT anniversary present you are giving your wife - what a great surprise! :goodvibes I keep dropping hints to my DH for my upcoming 40th b'day  , I mean 33rd b'day ;) , but I don't think he's clueing in! ;)

Oh, I am sorry - I think the memory box actually came from our travel agent - it was packaged separately. Our room was a bit crowded between the boxes I shipped, the kids baskets, REAS basket and the memory box. I sorta forgot what came from where.

Hi Lacy, glad you found us. I'm the original owner of the reservation for SPH 5520 for this cruise. I'm so glad a fellow DIS'er finally got this room. My DH and our 3 DS's had conecting SPH's on the port side of the Magic last October. We liked them so well that I originally wanted the SPH that is not connecting on the starboard side for this cruise. Just DH and I are going on this one. I'd love to see the room that I gave up if that would be alright with you. DH and I are on deck 6 in a verandah room and I'd be happy to show it to you too.

Looks like we have quite a lively group on this cruise. Hope with all the touring of each others staterooms/suites that everyone remembers which one belongs to them.:rotfl:
