Special 5 night Bahamas 9/1/08 Are you going?

Does anyone else think it is weird that the price on this cruise has not gone up at all. That would mean it was pretty empty right?? ( I only work for my mom a little I am not a TA by profession but a teacher) anyway I was wondering if the more experienced TA"s could answer this. I am hoping that this stays this way because I will rebook on board. Another question if I rebook in May will I go to the bottom of the upgrade list for GTY? I think since I booked early in the AM on the 31st I would be at the top. Any info would be great thanks!

The CM onboard will check your cruise for you to see if it's worthwhile to rebook. If it is, they will need to create a new reservation. (You'll be able to transfer over the money from your existing cruise.)

As far as what it does to your Guarantee status, that's a mystery. Disney is very close lipped about how they dispense upgrades.

Add four more to your list! My DH and I will be taking our two little girls (they will be 6 & 7 at the time of our cruise) on our very first Disney cruise. The girls just had their first experience cruising (on NCL) less than a month ago, and they LOVED it.

I used one of the other Disney TAs that is recommend on a different site. Beth is putting us on the early dining wait list, because I think the late dining is completely ridiculous for school age children that will already be accustomed to waking up early/going to bed early for school. (Schools around here typically begin the first week of August.)

I can't believe this thread already has as many pages as it does. I haven't had the chance to read up on everything, but I guess I have plenty of time between now and September 2008.

I had 5520 booked on February 2 until last night when I switched it to the Roy. I guess someone snatched it up right away!

I'm very much looking forward to several upcoming cruises including the First Med cruise!

Regarding the 5 night September cruise....
If anyone has been on the MouseFest cruise, you know that its tons of fun and there are close to 300 persons onboard.

Steve and I decided a smaller group cruise would allow us to spend more time with our fellow group cruisers and enable us to offer some extra special events/meets that we couldn't do with larger numbers. Hence, the idea of this cruise. As someone had posted, we did originally plan to make this a 7 night cruise in September, however Disney decided to drydock the Magic for most of the month. When we saw this special itinerary we thought it was perfect.

I look forward to meeting many of you during the upcoming cruise season

Wow Deb - I didn't know you had sailed 15 times. That was so sweet of you to post. I told my hubby about how you were kicking and screaming about your first cruise and now love it. That story always makes me chuckle.


I'm feeling very relaxed about this cruise since we did so much on our first cruise - I would love to spend time doing some fun Disney events.

Oh this is a great idea!!!

I am Elaine, hubby is Ken - we have twin 6 yr.olds Giona (jonah) and Jaea (jaya). They are currently is Kindergarten but will be in 2nd grade come cruise time.

I am laundress, chauffeur, chef and general domestic engineer. A former librarian in my other NYC life. Hubby works for a company that sells healthcare technology solutions to doctors.

We are an active family - enjoy the outdoors, the arts and visiting WDW.

This will be our second Disney cruise - we did the last DD of 2006. Hoping for warmer weather this time around.

Can't wait to meet you all and find out more about you on this thread.
