Good Morning All! :sunny:
Shaping up to be a very nice day. Clear and 38° right now.
Heading out to the state park later.

Been quite a roller coaster week. Good and bad things. Busy too.
Football day yesterday.
Boilers and Badgers lost.:sad1: :sad1:
But then so did Notre Dame.:yay:
Congrats to the new #2 team- Oregon Ducks and their biggest fan GOUODUCKS.
Ya gotta love those uniforms.

Found time yesterday to bowl in a charity event for the Humane Society.
One of out Parrothead club activities. Was fun. Raised a bunch of money.

On our way home last night, we stopped at Wal-Mart.
Not only did we see Mickey Burgers and Mickey Pizzas,
but get this Elaine.....BUTTER TARTS.
Did not look as good as Margaret's and they had pecans instead.

Well time to catch-up on the last week.

Let's see if this works.......

Scott, Lynn, Joe, Leslie, Rob, Celeste and Noah.
Cheryl and Bob had to leave a little earlier... Hope you're feeling better Bob!!
Great pic DPD.
Now we know what a "Goth Celeste" looks like.
Funny, still can't place her.:confused3

Bob #1....stay away from those chicken wings.

Hi everyone,
I've been on here and there. I just got off the Magic Western on Saturday, and now going through the post cruise blues (with a cold). I am happy to be sailing again next year. I'll try and be a little more social now that things are a little calmer. This was my first time on the Magic and it was a beautiful ship. I know we are on a special itenerary but if there are any questions, please feel free to ask.
Hi minnieandmickey, love your ticker.

Peter have fun playing in the dirt, we do hope you can make it down.

Here are some hints for teh Crane Exam, you got your Sandhill Crane, Whooping Crane, and your Crowned Crane. Hope that helps.

What about Frasier and Niles?:happytv:

Happy Halloween from Canada...eh!!!!!!!

We had about a dozen kids this year......lots of snack size Pringles left over....guess I'll be taking them to work with me for the next little bit....
Potato Chips?!?!

We went shopping tonight and then kept our lights off. We rarely get trick or treaters so decided not to get any candy to give out this year.
Hey, I remember people like you. Left a permanent scar on me from my childhood.

...Bob put on his Jack costume(from Nightmare before Christmas). The neighbors love him in it. We had about 100 kids, not quite as many as usual.
....
Got any pics? Would love to see Bob as Jack.

I like Peter and Jenn's way of celebrating.

Now, I dressed as Jack too. Jack Sparrow. Could not find the eye make-up though. Belle was Underdog.
We had about 110 kids. Bunch of leftover candy. Will have to send that north.
Was a fun evening. Put up some new decorations.

The 5 K course is at the AK and it looks KEWL!!! The site below has a lot of info and some really good folks can be found there
http://disneyrunning.com

Wow. All this talk about running marathons and 5ks.
Gotten out of shape the last few months.
My training partner wants to run, but the best I can do is a fast walk.
The summer has not been kind to my left ankle and my knees.

We will be in Florida on May 3, but unfortunately we will be in south Florida.
Don't think we will make the drive up for a race, unless plans change.

I have never done a 1/2 or a whole marathon.
Have done 5ks and 1 10k.
For those thinking about it. Do it.
You may be phyically tired when you are done, but I seemed to get a mental rush from it. Makes for a great way to start the day.

...Elaine like Celeste says you might get in via a Charity. Lynn also walks the 1/2 etc. I think the pace requirement is 16 minmile, sorry Elaine I cant convert that to Km per min, that would make my head hurt....

Scott, I know--Math Sux

16 minute mile is 3.75 mph (60 min / 16 min/mile)
then in kph would be 6.03.

at 19800 feet per hour that would be 5.5 per second or 1.6 meter per second.
Very doable. Comfortable pace.

Well, I think that I have caught up now.

Welcome to any of the new folks I missed.

Can tell winter is on the way. Jimmy did his last concert last night.
Stayed up and listened to it. It was great.
The last song he did was the Dylan song-"Rainy Day Women". KEWL.

Everybody have a great day and a wonderful week.

Made it to ATL, getting my mind together to hit the ground running tomorrow. Ugh!!!, will get to see the pups tonight, KEWL!

As Bob, says do the run/walk, yes it hurts at times but the reward of compleating or just trying is very rewarding.

Missed the concert last night, had to watch wishes from our OKW unit. Had a great view.

Good to know we will be back in a couple of months, gotta hit the training fro the 1/2.

The concert was great.

Going home?
Wonder Why We Ever Go Home

We had about a dozen kids this year......lots of snack size Pringles left over....guess I'll be taking them to work with me for the next little bit....

Potato Chips?!?!

Well...I managed to get rid of all my Pringles....gave them to my brother and sister-in-law!!!!!!!

On our way home last night, we stopped at Wal-Mart.
Not only did we see Mickey Burgers and Mickey Pizzas,

Did not look as good as Margaret's and they had pecans instead.

I guess that means you won't be needing any of Mom's buttertarts in September.

Bob...do you mean as halloween treats? If so, then I guess so...I always remember getting small bags of potato chips, cheese twists, and small chocolate bars when I went trick or treating..many moons ago!!!!!!!

Mom said that she will still make you some butter tarts....she said the store bought ones taste terrible....I wouldn't know....never tasted store bought.

Hi everyone, i am still here.. i find this thread so hard to catch up on, you guys chat too much! ;) LOL actually, i am busy getting ready for WDW in less than 2 weeks now, and my first dcl cruise next month..

I am very excited to be participating in my first 5k in May in WDW! I want to run the whole thing, which for me will be a great goal.. I am doing that Couch to 5k plan, and i am in the middle of week 4 right now.. love it!!

Oh, on the topic of halloween, can you believe my dd got a candy cane for a treat from someone?? a CANDY CANE?!! LOL

Hope everyone's enjoying the extra hour we got last night. I know we needed it.

Joe + I cooked an early Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Gwen + Brandon were up. He'll be spending his Thanksgiving with his father, so I wanted to do something for everyone together. I found the recipies from the family's yester-year and pulled it off. Cooked way too much, but everyone gobbled their stomachs full! :rotfl: The best thing (besides the family being together) was having the leftovers today:thumbsup2

Now, I'm ready to get going on Christmas! :santa:

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend!

We did some work around the house and yard, getting ready for our early Thanksgiving. Everyone will be here by the 13th..Thanksgiving for us on the 14th. Can't wait!

Bob..I will try and find a pic of Bob as Jack for you..his costume is great.

Tracy..wish we were at Trees in DeForest with you..lol. Looking forward to trying that again.

Peter..hope you can take the time to come with Jenn in January.

Sharon and JM are back home now, she will email me the group picture from the night of the cruise/eat around meet and I will get it posted..or get some help getting it posted.

Our Grandson arrives Tuesday afternoon, we will celebrate his first birthday at Disney.

Hope you all have a great week!

:thumbsup2

Yeah..Tree's.

Tracy...have they given you a job as bar consultant yet! :cool1:

Ed said he missed us. It's been 3 weeks since we were there! Unfortunately Jim is still bartending and I have to tell him how to make stuff every time :lmao:

We had some awesome Pumpkin Cream Soup with Pear Chutney last night. Boy was that great!! And for dessert Pumpkin Kahlua Cheesecake.
