I made ADRs on Saturday for our February 6-14 trip, and kept a spot open for this place. I'm a space geek, so I can't wait to get this ressie.

Now, off to plan viewing for this week's Perseids

The appearance of the exterior is relatively unimportant, the important thing is that the main building has been enclosed for awhile. This allows all of the intricate detail to be worked on inside including the dining room and kitchen. The painting and exterior paneling on the exterior can be done within a week or two. In less than two weeks we should have more information and hopefully an opening date.

We don't know, but are hoping they will announce more details at D23 this weekend. I'm sure reservations will book quickly.

Takumi Tei did not open for reservations until they were already open, so I would be surprised if they open the reservations for the Space Restaurant anytime soon.

I hope we get an opening date at D23! Watching closely...

just saw a post from D23 that it will be opening in December of this year. I called Disney Dining to see if they were taking reservations and they said to check daily. Hope this helps!
