space mountain wait times

does anyone know whats goin on at space mountain that the wait is sooooooooooooo long. the line goes to the astro orbiters and averages 85 minutes. thank God for fast pass! i just dont see why the wait is so long.

Don't let the size of the line outside fool you. Last trip, we had a FF for SM...so while we waited for our time, we went to SpM. The line was all the way back to Astro Orbitor. My DS and I got in the line. SO many people saw the line and walked away...we waited about 20 minutes, but as soon as we ENTERED SpM, we were on the ride in less than 5 minutes. There was NO Line inside. So there was a hold up at the entrance, our total wait was 25 minutes. To me, that is a great wait time for SpM.

I know when we were there on Wednesday July 7th - there was a back up because the ride was down for a while.

People just like that ride. We didnt deal with the lines though, we did 3 e -ride nights in 5 days! we did it with no wait... its the only was to ride!
