Your cinnamon rolls sound delicious!!!
They are and low fat too!:lmao:

Love Sloppy Joes had never heard of Maid Rite...I remember watching Roseanne and they called them Loose Meat!:laughing:OMG had forgotten about those!

Great installment!popcorn::Ready for more!
Thanks!
OMG :rotfl2: Love the donut dialogue - especially the comment about the heart surgeon at the Mayo Clinic. Since I work in cardiac surgery that was laugh-out loud funny!
Glad someone likes my dumb humor and SA comments!
Great update - very, very funny!
You are so sweet!
I thought the Krispy Kreme donuts looked very yummy! My favorite are the plain glazed and I can put away 6 in one sitting.
No way! You are so tiny!

Happy Birthday Baylor!

Wow they do look like Maid Rite down to the wrapper even!
Oh my! I definitely want to see the picture of that snowboarding outfit! He should wear a sombraro over his hat/helemt just for sh*ts and giggles! He is the birthday boy after all! :rotfl: I'd love to see that!
I will post them as soon as he puts it on!
:rotfl2:This is too funny!! I think this also applies to South Carolina residents too!

Treyner will be glad to know - and his truck is in the back of Shannn's yard so he is almost there!:rotfl2:

I'm all caught up now. My sides ache and my eyes burn from laughing so hard I cried.
My son came in to see what all the commotion was, and started reading along with me, of course it was the several pages of vajayjay, he now says I'm double standard for laughing at these jokes but yet I smacked him up the back of his head when he once said to his sister "aint that a slap to the vaj!"

Jim's rant "I can't say slap to the vaj but you all here on the boards can give peoples vaj's a smilie? I thought this was a Disney board, how do vaj's come into play in a Disney forum?"

All I could say was "stop saying vaj."

Jim was like, should I just say smilies instead, that's it, I will no longer say vaj, from now on it's a smilie."

"Gross Jimmy, go to bed."

Jim leaves the room yelling to his sister, "Reese, mom and her Dis friends are vaj obsessed."

State mottos, I had to wake up Kent for that, But just a small correction here
Pennsylvania, cook with coal....and use lots of lard.

I depend on your TR's for an abdominal workout, really lady you need your own show, who do I call about this?

I explained it was a new diet trick.

You order the food.

You buy the food.

You take pictures of the food.

Then you throw the food at moving vehicles and old people at bus stops.

That way you get the smell and sight experience you crave and then laugh and excersize your belly at the same time.

She literally had birds circling her head trying to figure out if I was joking or not.

:rotfl2: Awesome update! :thumbsup2

I usually lurk on TRs but I just had to come out and say how much I am enjoying yours! I've spent the past few days reading your previous PTRs/TRs and I love them! You truly have a talent for writing. At times I was laughing so hard that my family looked at me like I had completley lost it :rolleyes1 I can't wait to read more and I promise to post more often!

Bye Treynor!! Have a great 2nd semester of college and I hope you enjoy your new school.:wave2: I'll miss you even though we never got to meet.

Happy Birthday Baylor!!!!!! I will eat an imaginary piece of birthday cake for you tomorrow. I hope your mom makes you a real one that tastes half as good as those carmel rolls sound.

Dawn, I read the PM's. I'm just gathering my thoughts before I send them to you. Little did you know you sent that to the queen of reading trashy romance novels. (Not that YOURS is trashy. Oh dear.)

I'm glad I got a little behind on your TR. It gave me something to do this morning when I am the ONLY person in at work. We got 2 inches of snow and some wind and people are FREAKED out. I just laugh and drive on in. Please people, don't move to MN.

BTW, now I am hungry for doughnuts, carmel rolls, birthday cake, and sloppy joes and I blame you. I lost 2 pounds this week so far but I think I just gained it all back in one TR reading.

He says that like it's a bad thing! :lmao:

I think you must be not thinking clearly from sleep deprevation...the only thing Roseanne Barr and I have in common is our size!:confused3;)

Glad you laughed at old people getting pegged with flying pastries. I am beginning to worry about you....:rotfl2:

STRESSED OUT!!!!!

So Treyner's flight was supposed to leave from Minneapolis to Millwaukee then to Chicago to Knoxville.

Instead the snow God decided to hit Chicago with over 12" of snow throughout the day and all flight comming into Chicago are a no go as well as most leaving.

Treyner talked with the Delta rep at the check in desk and she found a new flight from Mpls to Detroit and the to Knoxville. Hopefully ahead enough of the weather that he would not be sitting at a terminal in Detroit for 2 days.

The kicker...a $50 charge. Why you way query?

Because it was booked through Priceline not Delta directly and thus they charged a $50 external ticketing fee.

What a load of you know what!

If it would have been booked directly - it would have been free due to the airport being closed.

Then - Treyner's dad - who dropped him off and I asked as nice as pie to please go into the ticketing gate with because we knew there would be a problem with the current flight, decided he did not want to pay for parking and just dropped Treyner off.

Issue with that: Treyner only had $130 in cash on him for the next few days to put gas in his car to drive to Anderson from Knoxville and food etc. while the school crud is still being straightened out.

Then he calls me to tell me the plane to Detroit - can't be flown due to a faulty electrical issue with smoke alarms going off in the back of the plane.

Wait around - can't fix it. Try and find a new plane to use. One comes in..they prep it and load everyone to head out by 9:30 a.m. for an original 8:20 a.m. flight to Detroit.

Just talked to Treyner (yes at 10:14 a.m. so he is not in the air yet) and it seems the new plane has a broken handle on an oxygen mask in the cockpit (which I agree is important since the pilot getting oxygen in an emergency is rather crucial versus if it was Aunt Bessie in Row 8 seat C who is 97.3 and lets face it, would not be able to raise her stubby dinnosaur arms up to reach the oxygen mask if she needed it) so....they need to fix the mask, then de-ice the plane and pray to God that they make it ahead of the storm and land in Detroit by 2:00 p.m. for his connecting flight to Knoxville.

I am usually not a supersticious person or hinkie hooey believer but how much can go wrong and not be pointing to get thee @ss off of the plane.

Reminds me of the Joke of the man who dies and gets to Heaven and has a discussion with God about why he was not saved when he was on his roof in a flood. :confused3

He said - I kept begging you God to save me and God says - I tried but you sent the boat, the helicopter and the rescue men away. Who do you think sent them?

Okay - need to be realistic and calm down but I hate things not in my control at all and I just hate there is nothing I can do.:headache:

Maybe if he ends up in Detroit and is stuck he can call Eminem or Kid Rock. I hear they have nice homes. :thumbsup2

I will be back to let you know what I find out!

Father Daughter cruise sounds amazing! So jealous you have a great relationship with your Dad. I hope you come back here when you get back and tell me all about it! Thanks again for such kind words and I hope you have a great trip!

They could be...just sayin...

Amen - temps here supposed to be 30 below with windchill and the day goes on like usual. Roads here are bad though with only a few inches of snow. The Black Ice is worse than I have ever seen it and people on roads like 61 and 35 W that run North/Soth are in the ditches everywhere.
BTW, now I am hungry for doughnuts, carmel rolls, birthday cake, and sloppy joes and I blame you. I lost 2 pounds this week so far but I think I just gained it all back in one TR reading.

I am back on all things good for me as of next Monday. Rolls are al gone - a whole pan if you can believe that!

Just re-read caramel roll recipie and measured for real this morning.

Mix I put down on bottom of 9x13

1/2 cup Karo syrup ( a tad less actually in measuring cup)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 stick butter cut into chunks - I placed some on top of the rolls and some in pan

3/4 cup chopped pecans

Place rolls on top

wait 5 hours to rise

Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes - cover rolls with aluminum laying over top for first 10 then remove to brown to desired darkness.

We are so excited! We've never been on a cruise before so we are really looking forward to it :yay: I'll make sure to come back and share all the fun details and even a few pictures :thumbsup2

I have my fingers crossed that Treyner makes his connection and enjoys his new school. I am a college freshman too and I struggled with my school choice at first but I now love where I am at. Hopefully Treyner will be happy too!

Those caramel rolls sound yummy! I'm gonna have to make those sometime. Thanks for sharing!!

I was watching the news this morning and saw that it was snowing in MN and thought of you and remembered Treyner's leaving today. I hope everything goes well and that he gets to Knoxville safe and sound. I flew into LaGuardia the weekend before Christmas during that blizzard and my airline was very good about making sure they were doing their best to keep everything on time. Luckily I was flying from LA so no snow there haha! Good thing there will be no snow on the ground when he's driving to SC!

Oh gosh, Dawn, how stressful!!! I'd be a nervous wreck with sending my kid away to college in the first place, then to have all these travel problems on top of it - ugggg! And, I agree, it shouldn't matter where he bought his ticket, it's a Delta flight for goodness sake, honor it or fix it.

What a mess. Good thoughts going out that Treynor makes it to his final destination safe & sound, and on time!!

Dawn,
We didn't get too much snow down this way so if Treynor can get in and out of Detroit (always the issue I know) I don't think he has to worry about the snow in Knoxville. Plus, you won't have to worry too much about the roads for when he's driving. I'll send good traveling thoughts his way. Plus, I figure this gives him more time to pick up girls while he is traveling. Always a bonus.

I hope Treynor takes off soon and makes his connection and that's appalling that they charged him

I would love to see some!

I can't believe the amount of posts you have! Where are you at for school?

They are good...but addicting!

His flight just left...so hopefully smooth sailing to Detroit!!

I am going back and looking on the itenerary for small print that explains it since Priceline always says no fees..blah blah blah...I suppose they will say it was not their fee it was the airline. I wish I had a job where i could just jack around the price based on the day or how busy I am or weather.

How well would that go over?

Sorry but th enecklace from Silpada you liked last month is now up $100 because it is February and I am busier than in January.

Sorry - it snowed and I felt inconvenienced - your earings will cost you another $20.

WHY DO WE PUT UP WITH IT PEOPLE????

If it were a restaurant you went into in March and then went into the same one in April and they assessed extra service charges or moved the price of your filet mignon $40 we would all be outraged and not frequent that restaurant again.

Airlines have us by the kahunas and they know it.

Makes me want to stick with driving.

If I get a new Van. :lmao:;)

What a mess. Good thoughts going out that Treynor makes it to his final destination safe & sound, and on time!!

I will keep you updatesd on the Treyner Tracker...like Santa.

I will say I cried a bit this morning when he hugged me goodbye. It was a long hug and not from my end. As much as I want to kick I him in the hind end at times...he is such a loving boy.

Did I ever tell you about his birthday (I want to say he was turning 12?) and I was in the hospital for a kidney infection and I had told him to go on with his party plans - his Dad could handle it etc.

Well guess who showed up at 7 p.m. when he should have been bowling?

Treyner spent the night sharing a hospital bed with me and me trying to keep my arms in the air so they could take the blood pressure and stats throughout the night without waking him.

Know what he said?

"I can have a birthday party anytime so I cancelled it and told my friends I would reschedule when you were out of the hospital. But Mom, I can only have my real birthday with you on my birthday.

Swear to Heaven above it is 100% true and that is Treyner.

He needs to get his head on astraight about school, get his grades a bit higher and figure out how to prioritize things we all procratinate on - but at his core and what is important he has really got it together.

OK - can you tell I am feeling sappy and all boo hooie about him being gone for a few months!:sad1:

I hope Treynor takes off soon and makes his connection and that's appalling that they charged him

He is in the air and I hope he is not stuck in Detroit either!

I am always a crusader for being taken advantage of and I sometimes wonder if I am wrong in my feelings or too passionate to look at it objectively.

In this case though- if you have a policy than it should be your policy whether I buy it from here or there. You still got the money and it is obviously a company you feel is reputable enough to allow to book your flights so why penalize the people who did work with you through one of your sub-contractors so to speak. :headache::mad:

Ok, this just brought tears to my eyes! What a sweet boy  You must be one great mom! :goodvibes

On the airlines, you're right, we put up with so much crap from them - it's like they have us bent over and what are we going to do about it??? Don (my DH) travels alot for work and the last time he flew Delta he swore it was the last time. He'd rather drive across country then get on one of their flights.

Glad Treynor is at least finally in the air, hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here on out! :thumbsup2
