Space Mountain Closing

I'm not sure if this is being discussed elsewhere but I couldn't find it so here goes. I've heard and read that they will be closing SM on April 19th for referb, does that mean it will be open until the 19th? The reason I ask is we are schedule to arrive mid afternoon on the 18th and would love the chance to get to MK and ride it before it is officially shut down. I realize that plans may change between now and then, but if it is scheduled to be closed on the 19th will it remain open until they open the park that morning. Thanks!

Nevermind, I just remembered we were originally going to fly in on the 18th, but we ended up booking our trip starting on the 19th so looks like I will miss out this time around. Feel free to ignore the previous post.

Unfortunately, there is no end date given for the refurbishment of Space Mountain. Keep your eyes/ears open for more information!

Don't loose hope yet!! We were at MK on 1/4, the day Splash MT was scheduled to close for refurb, it was OPEN!!

Hit MK on the 19th, see if Space Mt. is open, there's always a chance!
