Souveniers I Just Would Not Want To Miss!

I agree on the panoramic view posters. I have MK and Epcot. I went to Old Time Pottery in Pigeon Forge and bought frames for them both for only $35.00. Now I wish I had bought all 4 of them, even though I did not really like the MGM or AK ones. But now? I want them all!!!

I just grab everything Stitch :rotfl: also I keep all the maps, and little bits from resturants and stuff, even receipts just to put into the scrap book :teeth:

i got my shot glass at mgm, says hollywood tower hotel. Ive started a collection of every time ive been to disneyworld, so im at 1.

Oh that's why. I went to Disneyland not Disneyworld.

Another unecessary purchase I made was this mickey mouse figurine that costs 3.50 about 3.5" tall made of plastic. I bought 5 but ended up having 2. Now I want more (atleast 7) to fill the top of my shelf.
I know it sounds a bit obsessive.

We like to buy the refillable mugs, we use them everyday for our coffee. Also we buy a X-Mas ornament, get time talking about the memories when we hang it on the tree!
Next time (12/7 !) I want to buy the music cd of the rides.

I love t-shirts and I must have bought five of them when we went to WDW last month. I really love Figment and Si and Am and I had to get t-shirts with them on it. I live in t-shirts and jeans and even though I must have a hundred t-shirts, I needed five more. My favorite souvenir was a sketch that I had done of Si and Am. They have a Disney Artist who can sketch any Disney character. It costs $35 for one character and $65 for two. My husband thought that it was a waste of money, but I ended up having it done anyway. I got one done of Si and Am, which cost $65. They can also personalize it and it is free for the personalization. I have a siamese kitty named Daisy and so I had "Daisy aka Si and Am" written on it. It is something that I will never forget from our last trip to WDW.

I had to come back and post our "traditional" souvenier. Each visit the girls in my family go to the Japan pavillion in World Showcase and buy an oyster. (about $14.95)Then we have a piece of jewelry made with the pearl. Last year I got "twin" pearls of almost identical size and had earrings made. If you get something unusual (black pearl, twins, certain size) they ring a gong and make a big deal out of it. It's campy but fun. It wasn't expensive at all and DD, DDIL & myself all love pearls. Before each trip someone will always ask me if we're going "pearl diving" @Epcot.

t-shirts
Christmas Ornaments (A Must!)
Shot glasses
Magnets
Collector spoons
Candy for DH

I wish I had purchased the Jello shooter trays.... Not for the purpose of that, but as Ice trays....

My mother in law bought them last year ( and really thought that they were ice trays!! :rotfl: ) She uses them for the kids. They love their Mickey shaped ice......

She bought them at the store in Epcot that is at the International Gateway....

I am going to purchase some this year for our house.... :goodvibes

We will also be purchasing a passport for Epcot... This way my littleone will have the world to bring home ( stamps) :cool1:

We got stuck in the Pin craze...I've decided I'm going to stick them all in a basic wooden picture frame...now if i can only pick out one picture, that's the hard part. We also got a Pal Mickey. It seems great for kids, but I loved it too. I should have gotten the Celebration CD and/or the Wishes CD - maybe I'll just go buy them online now. We saved pretty much EVERY piece of paper to make a scrapbook too, so we won't forget anything.

More potatoe head parts

A viewmaster with Disney pictures, I wanted to get it so many times, I wish I had!

The prices I saw on the jewelry was not cheap, I wouldn't even classify it as "not expensive"

Well, in my experience going to different theme parks in the U.S., I have found that after getting home and having the "souvie" for a bit, my favs and most practical are 1) magnets and 2) tall drink cups.

Hey, but what can I say, I AM practical!

So... I will be picking up both on my trip soon! (Thanks, good idea about the resort magnet... I will get one of those, along with one magnet from each park also!)

If you get the sterling silver it really isnt that expensive, now the gold on the other hand is pretty pricey...

about the pearls... it has become a tradition between by dh and I. It's something he's been doing since we started dating. He'll ask me if I want one and I will say no. Then he'll say he will beright back (usually while I'm looking at something else) and then comes back with one anyway.

Since it is very expensive to get them mounted on something at WDW. What we do is just get the hole drilled in them and get them mounted at home at the jewelers.

I got a gold mickey head for my charm bracelet. I will get another gold charm for my bracelet. DH said that since my charm bracelet was almost full that I needed to start a silver charm bracelet. I think he just knows that silver is a whole lot cheaper then 14 kt gold. :rotfl2: I did pick up Mr. Potato Head this morning. I will be getting the parts when I go. I can't wait.

We always get the refillable mug. Last trip I got the EPCOT Illuminations and Tapestry of Dreams CD and I listen to it in the car. I also love picture frames and t-shirts, and I got this great Tigger hoodie.... So many suveniers, so little time! :earboy2:
