SOuthwest has updated their schedule into May. No deals for me with April vacation week though.

The prices are steep. $255 RT from Providence. I have never paid more that $200 for the non-stops.

I just paid over $1,300 to book our flights for our cruise. Still cheaper than JetBlue out of Boston and much cheaper than what the cruise line wanted to charge for flights ($650 pp). I'll just keep watching and see if the fares come down and then rebook.

i checked first thing this morning and the web still said april 2,
now that i have been reading the disboard, i checked and southwest has changed it to may 8. and all the $79 fares are unavailable, i cant believe they are gone, i think its more because of easter holiday. :(

I double the $79 fares were ever available. I checked at one time and not 5 minutes later checked again for another reason and noticed the dates had changed. No $79 fares available.

i think the $79 fare is just unavailable, im going to keep checking everyday, and on tuesday(southwest sales) i usually get an email from southwest about their fare sale and i didnt get one today, that is why im thinking it might be tuesday.:earseek: :earseek:

I was able to get $79 fare for our trip, BWI to MCO, but I had to fly out Friday night, 4/2. Leaving Saturday would have cost me $100 more. I booked it online a litlle before noon. Just checked Southwest website and my same itinerary is now $311 r/t (instead of $176 r/t)

Wow! Talk about you snooze you lose!

I feel so bad for everyone who has been waiting so long for the Easter dates to come out and then have the rates be so high!

It changes week to week, so, keep the faith, something might come up.

For those folks leaving from BDL there are 79.00 flights available.

wdwstar and dismare,

I think that at some peak times SWA makes the low discounted fares unavaible from the moment they put them up. It's not a matter of you "you snooze, you loose" I found this true with dates around President's week vacation. From day one that the fares came out, there were only full fares available for the prime Saturday to Sunday times. (2/14-2/22) And given the fact that they appear to have sold out almost all those flights it's probably good business sense on their part to do that. But not too good for us. LOL!

For our PRes week trip we are flying out on Monday 2/16 and back on Wed 2/25 (Earliest I could get the cheap fare) But I still check them almost daily. As long as the flights aren't sold out I am hopeful that perhaps SWA will release some the cheaper fares.

There were definitely $79 fares out of BDL available this AM that disappeared almost right before my eyes because I was playing around with days and times and rates. I checked at 10:30 AM and there were NO discounted rates available on a Sun or Mon for us to return (and only 1 time on Saturday). As the day went on, the Saturday time is totally gone and the $79 fares on Tuesday.

First time for us on SWA and I had no idea it was this crazy to book. I definitely plan to keep checking because things might open up as people readjust their plans.

Now to get a room!

Thanks for the heads up. Although our travels end within the last booking window, I was able to rebook and get a better time at $79 than I had been able to book on the first day the last rounds of fares opened up.

I tried to combine a $79 fare from BDL to MCO with a Refundable fare of $181 coming home and they (the web page) wouldn't let me!

I had to combine the advance fare with the full fare to get it to work.

I wonder why?

HI ALL!
Give Delta a call and make a res, put it on hold and get a price, for the a same times, dates and number of stops you would get with SWA.
If you are a SWA REWARDS memeber then call and voice your concerns, but have your times and dates and air fare from Delta on hand.
Call Customer Service and explain your delemma.
ENJOY!!!

Because, some fares cannot be combined, some fares need round trip at that fare, etc. Click on the hyperlink over the fare price and it will give you the info and what you can and cannot do.
